With Christmas 2013 just around the corner Gareth has posted this message:    sXmas_wreath_100-102

I want to wish all my amazing and loyal fans a very happy Christmas!
Sorry I haven’t been updating much lately – as you can see from Twitter it’s been a little hectic..! 2 panto shows a day… Skating.. And other things to tell you about very soon…. You’ll be seeing lots of me next year.
I’ve got some brand new videos that we’re going to bring you exclusively in here in 2014 so I hope you like them. I know some of you will have heard new music at the shows I did last year – but we decided to film my favourite 3 acoustically so you can all enjoy them – I really hope you do!
I’m looking forward to seeing all my family who will come and be with me in St Albans over Christmas (as I only get the 1 day off!) and most of all to seeing my wonderful daughter Missy. Then it’s right back on the ice.. As that date’s creeping nearer.. !

Have a fantastic Christmas all of your and an exciting 2014!

With confirmation that Gareth is now taking part in the final All Stars Dancing on Ice programme beginning January 5th 2014, we wish him lots of luck on those skates.

Finally, may we take this opportunity to wish all Gareth fans and visitors to the site a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Gareth has been confirmed as one of the skaters taking part in an All Stars special commencing 5th January 2014, partnering professional skater Brianne Delcourt

The final series of the show will be an ‘All Stars’ special. Celebrating the very best of its celebrity skaters, the final series will see a mixture of finalists and show favourites from its entire run.

The 9th series which starts in the New Year, will be the last of the glittering ice skating competition and it promises to go out with a bang.

Previous show winners will want to retain their title, runners up will have old scores to settle and show favourites will want to wow viewers with their very best on the ice.

Phillip Schofield and Christine Bleakley will be rink-side to preside over all the action and the Judges will be on hand to deliver their verdicts.

Movies and Musicals at Christmas.

On Sunday 1st December Gareth appeared at the Apollo theatre London together with John Owen Jones, Louise Dearman, Sarah Lark, the LSG Orchestra and the West End Gospel Choir for an evening of Movies and Musicals at Christmas.

Gareth’s Eye of the Sparrow, Unchained Melody and his Beauty and the Beast duet with Louise Dearman were a huge hit with the audience.

Reviewers at West End Frame agreed, even mentioning Gareth’s vocal gymnastics being highly impressive!

While Gareth Gates is best known for his music career in recent years he has become an established musical theatre performer, having played leading roles in Joseph, Les Miserables, Legally Blonde and Loserville. I am always very technical when it comes to reviewing vocal performances, and I was completely taken aback by his incredibly soulful rendition of ‘His Eye Is On The Sparrow’. His vocal gymnastics were highly impressive! He then treated the audience to a strong performance of ‘Unchained Melody’ (why not?).
