  1. Thought you'd like it Maria. I'm really excited about this one. Think it will be a really great evening. And having been to the New Wimbledon Theatre before we'll know exactly where we're going.

Gareth Gates leads this sophisticated homage to musical theatre, featuring songs from much-loved shows including West Side Story, Phantom of the Opera, Wicked and Miss Saigon. He is joined by a cast of West End stars including blonde bombshell Rachael Wooding (Jersey Boys, Hairspray), an amazing ensemble of dancers and a live on stage band. Gareth Gates Since being catapulted into the limelight as a finalist on the original Pop Idol 10 years ago, Gareth Gates has sold over 3 million singles in the UK, and toured extensively as a solo artist, playing to sold out arenas. He has recently carved out an enviable niche for himself as a lead musical theatre artist, with coveted starring roles in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat for Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber and Les Misérables for Sir Cameron Mackintosh. Rachael Wooding Rachael Wooding recently played the lead role of Mary Delgado in the long-running West End production of the smash-hit musical Jersey Boys. 9. I'm so pleased for you Elaine. After all the trauma you've had over the past few weeks, it will help get your mind off what happened. Wish I could go as well, but its an awfully long way from here. I hope you have a lovely time, although its quite a while to wait yet.
  10. How fantastic that Gareth has been asked back again to Maidstone. He must have gone down really well last time. I think after he was there last year, they were asking on their Facebook who people would liike to see there and I know I suggested they have Gareth back, so perhaps lots of other people did too. Maria I think there are only a few maybe only 2 Pizza Express establishments where they are able to stage one of these events, so that too is good that Gareth has been asked back.
  11. Gareth is doing a gig in Carlisle. Ali has confirmed it but hasn't given me a date yet as she still has ticket details to sort out. Now confirmed at Outrageous Cabaret Bar Carlisle on 20.4.12
  12. Ali has told me that this Festival has definitely not been confirmed. I think we knew that it was only a rumour. I hope it hasn't confused anyone and that no-one has looked into booking.
  13. Thank you for collecting all that together. The program was such an inspiring watch and it was so good to see Gareth getting accredited with the praise he so deserved. It will be lovely to be able to come back to this thread and watch and read through it all together.
  14. Gareth Gates ‏ @Gareth_Gates On my way to Celtic Manor for a Charity Evening. I might sing a song or 2 at the end!!
  15. Thanks for that. Can see the `loves' bit at the bottom but can't see how to work it.
  16. That was a lovely interview. Gareth's speech is fantastic at the moment. Really enjoyed listening to it.
  17. Looks like they're going to keep us waiting until just before 10 o'clock.
  18. Just given out a Tel no to ring in with anything you want to say 03700 100 100 or Text 81199 Just mentioned Gareth as well.
  19. Aled has just tweeted about his chat with Gareth @ahj Just had a great chat with @gareth_gates about his @bbc3tv doc. Hear it on The Surgery on @BBCR1 tonight at 9pm https://twitter.com/#!/ahj/status/173868017502003200
  20. Much as I'm disappointed with the way the Music has been handled on the new site, it seems Gareth has put a lot of thought into how he's designed the layout of the rest of the site. It hadn't occurred to me that anything different had been done, as I know very little about setting up such a site or of the problems some disabled people have with websites. However I received this last night from a young lady who has very severe sight problems. She can't see the pictures people put links to and often asks me to explain just how Gareth looks in the pics people put up, so that she can picture him in her mind. She very much admires Gareth's voice especially his renditions of the Musical Theatre songs he has been singing for the last few years. She is having voice coaching and her aim is to be a singer herself one day. She sent this to me in several separate messages on Twitter as charaters are limited, so I have joined them together for you to see. it's looking fab . And thanks go out to the web designer(s). Whether they they meant to or not, they've set it up very well for those of us using speech software. loving having the same access as sighted peers. Few web designers bother considering this in my experience
  21. It certainly is and echoes everything I thought about the night. Great review. Thanks Chris. Will post it to Twitter if you don't mind.
  22. There are over 50 videos on there now Chris and the singles are almost at the end of them all. You need to scroll through all the others to get to them.
  23. Very valid points Snowdrop. Maybe you should suggest it to Michael or Ali. They do appear to be open to suggestions.
  24. Thanks Inge. I've sent in a request for it to be added and also asked if they could rearrange the playlist so that the singles play first.
