  1. They don't set sail until 5pm tomorrow apparently. Or so I've been told by someone who is going on the cruise.
  2. Thanks Janice. Really looking forward to this.
  3. Nice interview with Gareth in the MKNews, where he again talks about his band http://www.mk-news.co.uk/Lifestyle-and-leisure/Interview-Gareth-Gates-on-Aladdin-at-MK-Theatre-31082011.htm Published: 31/08/2011 11:00 - Updated: 31/08/2011 10:59 Interview: Gareth Gates on Aladdin at MK Theatre As announced exclusively by MK NEWS, pop sensation Gareth Gates, pictured right, will star as Aladdin in this year’s panto at Milton Keynes Theatre. In an interview with this paper, Gareth, a good friend of Gavin and Stacey star Joanna Page who appeared last year in Dick Whittington, said he is looking forward to coming to the city after hearing good things about it from her. He said: “I’ve been to Milton Keynes a few times, the city’s great, but I’ve never performed there though so I’m looking forward to doing that. “I’ve been a prince twice before in panto, I did Snow White in Woking last year, but this is my first time as Aladdin.” Asked if he would ever consider playing a baddie, he replied: “Not now - maybe when I’m a little bit older.” He has recently finished a worldwide and West End tour of Les Miserables, in which he played Marius, and is looking forward to getting back into panto. “Les Mis is very sombre and serious,” he said, “so it’s nice just to have a bit of a laugh and mess around with the cast, instead of making people cry.” Off-stage, Gareth talked about a new band he has formed and which he has started writing an album for, even though they don’t have a name yet. “I’ve been in theatre for a while and during that you miss the record industry side of things, so I’d love to return to that. “I’ve put a band together, and it’s good to get together and jam for a few hours to see what sounds we find.” You can see Gareth Gates, alongside impressionist Paul Burling and other stars yet to be announced, in Aladdin by booking your tickets through the theatre’s box office. 4. Gareth has been tweeting Probably just realized he didn't put the link in. Wonder why.
  5. It is sad, but not really a surprise. Well, they have said they will try to incorporate as many suggestions as possible and lots of people asked for Gareth's music to be put on the new site, so hopefully that will happen. I'm really looking forward to seeing what the new site is like.
  6. Hope he means later today. :jump:
  7. This sounds very interesting. Hope we don't have to wait too long to find out what it is.
  8. I'm sure she'll love it Laura. And you've got to get her well trained as a Gareth fan nice and early.
  9. I'm not particularly bothered about the photos, but I still have to say yes or no every time I go on the page and its annoying. I'll have to try to get someone to look at my security settings.
  10. Oh Thanks. Any idea how I can stop it popping up every time I click on the link to Gareth's page?
  11. Thanks for the link Khelda, but its the same. I can only see the pics if I choose to see unsecure content.
  12. I can't see that Khelda. Edit: Can see it now. For some reason its only showing up if I say I want to see unsecure content.
  13. I'm looking forward to it too. Will you be taking Mia Laura? I'm sure she'd love it.
  14. They are starting the rehearsals for the Panto in mid November, according to the fella who is choreographing it.

  17. Contrary to everyone else's opinion, I like the costume Makes a change from all the regal ones he's worn in everything else. http://www.leightonbuzzardonline.co.uk/lifestyle/leisure/theatre/gates_to_headline_aladdin_at_mkt_1_2973897?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed function testfunction(commentid) { var commentidvar = commentid; $("input#reportcommentid").val( commentidvar ); } Gates to headline Aladdin at MKT Gareth Gates as Aladdin Published on Thursday 18 August 2011 10:18 formatPubDate("Thu Aug 18 10:18:59 BST 2011"); POP and musical theatre star Gareth Gates will be taking panto-goers on a magical carpet ride this Christmas in the title role of Aladdin at Milton Keynes Theatre. This year’s fun-packed family pantomime opens at Milton Keynes Theatre on December 9 and Gareth will be joined by the hilarious 2010’s Britain’s Got Talent finalist Paul Burling as Wishee Washee. Paul became a firm favourite with judges and public alike for his side-splitting comedy routines, most memorably his uncanny impersonation of Harry Hill. The original Gareth has appeared in Les Mis and Joseph as well as donning sequins and lycra for TV’s Dancing on Ice, He said: “I’m really looking forward to playing Aladdin this year and bringing lots of fun and laughs to the stage at Milton Keynes Theatre.” Aladdin runs from December 9 to January 15. To book tickets or for more information call the box office 0844 8717652 or go online www.atgtickets/miltonkeynes

  19. I certainly can't find any info re the cast yet. Only the Buy Tickets. Think Ali must have jumped the gun a bit Not going to be home today, so hopefully by the time I get back there will be more details available.
  20. Thanks for posting this up on here Maria. Gareth should make a very handsome Aladdin.
  21. Hi Nat. Lovely to see you posting again. Thanks for your lovely report and the full song-list. How did your boyfriend take you singing with Gareth on stage? Did he mind? Gareth probably recognized you from all the other times you've seen him. Sounds like you had a brilliant day. Look forward to seeing your pics and your videos if you have the time to put them up. Hope all is going well with you.
  22. Good heavens Linda, what an awful experience for you. Such a shame you missed some of the gig, but what you did hear sounds fantastic. It was good to hear all the Pontins staff were so good to you. I hope you're feeling OK now. Did you manage to get your glasses back? Thank you for typing all that up for us. I'm so glad you enjoyed what you did see and I'm glad you got home safely after such an experience.
  23. Gareth can't be doing another gig there tonight. What a lovely pic that is.
