  1. I agree with everyone.

No disrespect to any of the other members of the group - but Gareth is way and above the most consistently successful.

He was huge at the beginning and despite all the "stuff" that went on - he has still maintained a busy and successful career...

Of the five of them - he has maintained the highest profile and is IMHO the most talented and musical.

    He stands out.

  2. I watched the Reunion programme...

It left me feeling incredibly sad. What could have been. :(

He was so huge - so popular all over the world.

I cannot understand why that woman would be so spiteful as to broadcast it all to the world just because he finished with her. He was 17 for heavens sake. She makes me so angry.

I know Gareth has to take responsibility for his part in it all - but she was just plain vindictive.

I could have cried when he said he had not been a good boyfriend or husband .....

I think the answer is - he was too young - too young to cope with all that happened and too young to marry.

Thankfully his lovely personality has shone through in his career and now he is doing so well - but I dont think I will ever forgive that woman for what she did.

I can still remember that awful horrible day when what I had dismissed as rubbish turned out to be true. It was so ghastly.

Sorry to bring it all up again - but it affected me so much last night - I had to talk about it somewhere and I didnt want it to be on Facebook.

God bless Gareth - yes he has made mistakes - but he never deserved all the nastiness he and his family have had to hear and read. My heart went out to him last night - all over again.

  3. Gareth was brilliant this week.

He really "danced on ice" and acted the routine fabulously.

    I loved it.

I was cheering when he went straight through to next week!

To be honest I think he is better than the girls left - most of what they do is being lifted in the air.

Gareth really skates and I love that.

  4. We got Gareth through again!

    So pleased.

My heart was in my mouth for him this week.

Another week to watch him skate.

I have to be totally honest - my personal winner is Ray Quinn - amazing dancer on ice - he was wonderful tonight....but I want to keep Gareth in for as long as we possibly can! I love watching him on the ice...

  5. Thanks both

Things not great with me healthwise Val - but I'm struggling on.

Sorry I dont post much - but I support Gareth 100% in whatever he does.

I'll help keep him in the Dancing on Ice for as long as we possibly can.

I'm looking forward to him in the Reunion thingy too!

Eternal you are right - there is a lot of love for Gareth out there! He will always be in my heart.....:wub::wub:

  6. Gareth is through! Woo Hoo! :jump:

I was spitting fury when he ended up behind Joe Pasquale on the score board- what is wrong with Jason giving Joe a 7 - ridiculous.

Anyway - my two favourites Gareth and Ray are through! For me they are the two skaters who actually "dance on ice"...

I thought Gareth was lovely - he is such a sweetheart - I am so happy he is through to the next round!

  7. Hi Khelda. I'm still following Gareth in all he does.

He is doing so well isnt he. I cant wait to see him on Masterchef.

I'm always searching youtube for videos of him - and I get a lot of info from Facebook from some fellow fans.

    Which is great.

Hope all is well with you.

    Love Jill xx

  8. Just wanted to pop on here and say how beautiful Gareth sounds on Why God Why. I found the clip and enjoyed it so much.

Sadly because of my health having deteriorated I cannot go to live shows any more for any of the artists I like so I devour youtube for anything I can find!

I enjoyed the clip of Gareth singing For Good - I only wish someone had recorded him singing Unchained Melody.

I would have LOVED to have heard him sing that.

This show would have been great for me as two of my favourites - Gareth and Jonathan Ansell were performing.

Luckily I found 4 you-tubes of Jonathan - and he sounds fabulous on them all.

I loved his Love Changes Everything - and Starlight Express - but Gethsemane was truly superb.

The two best performance were Gareths Why God Why and Jonathans Gethsemane.

What voices! Such passion in their delivery. I'm proud to be a fan of both.

    Wish I could have been there. x x x x

  9. You have to tell us, if you spot him Jill.

I most certainly will Khelda - no worries!

The DVD is not out till 22nd November but I will let you know as soon as I have watched it.

    Fingers crossed!

    Love Jill xx

  10. A bit more

I wonder if Gareth is aware that Cliff is alleged to take full advantage of a "backing track" for a lot of his live performances these days. In which case, quite like a lot of the X Factor finalists over the last few years! :P

Not the concerts I've been to!

Every time I've been there - Cliff has had a full band on stage with him - including wind instruments and often a small orchestra.

For the Bold as Brass concerts in the Royal Albert Hall he had a 20 piece orchestra/jazz band along with the usual rock/pop band plus 3 backing singers...

The sound in a Cliff concert is incredible - and I so agree with Gareth - Cliff would knock the socks of most of the x factor contestants with his vocals even at the age of 70!

I'm so delighted that Gareth was at one of the shows - if only I could have been there - I could have seen two of my most favourite men! Oh to have them duet!

Wonder if Gareth was there the night they were filming for the DVD - I will look out for him when I get it!

    PS Great picture from Gareth!

PPS - Just found out that Gareth was there the night of the filming for the DVD!

They usually home in quite a bit on the audience - including those in Boxes - so I shall look out for Gareth!

  11. Still trying to find out what Gareth sang.

The Classical X forum is undergoing re-construction - so it's a bit all over the place.

Have asked the question though - will post if I get an answer.

Have found out that Beverley Knight couldnt do the show - so Mica Paris took her place.

    Love Jill xx

  12. This is such good news!

I'm so pleased that it's been confirmed as really happening!

I cant wait to hear Gareth sing again on tv - I wonder what he will sing?

I've almost worn out the youtube of him singing on the Michael Ball show!

And also the duet he did with John Owen Jones - River in the Rain....so very beautiful..

I'll have a look on Classical X on Sunday night to see if there is any news on what he sang.

    Love Jill xx

  13. Thanks Jill.

Don't think we've heard anything about this. I do hope it is right. Would be fantastic to be able to listen to Gareth on TV over Christmas. Keep everything crossed.

Yes fingers crossed Val. I was so delighted when I read it. I loved Gareth on the Michael Ball show so much - I was hoping for another tv appearance!

Classical X are usually right with these things - so fingers crossed!

I'll look out for any information on there after the recording has been done on Sunday. Hopefully they will post up who sang and what they sang.

    Love Jill xx

  14. Hi. I'm not sure if this is right - but I just read on Classical X - that Gareth will be singing on The Big Sing - Songs of Praise - which is to be recorded live on Sunday and shown on tv October 31st and Boxing Day...

    http://www.classicalx.com/ftopicp-26207.html#26207

The Big Sing will again take place at the Royal Albert Hall this coming Sunday, and Aled will be presenting, as usual, and also singing one song - a Christmas song from his new album, to be released at the end of November. The programmes will be shown on October 31st, and Boxing Day, December 26th (unsually, the Christmas programme is usually shown before Christmas)

I understand (unofficially!) the guest artists will be:

    Enchanted Voices (Howard Goodall's)

    Beverley Knight

    Russell Watson

    Gareth Gates

Tickets have long since sold out! - but occasionally tickets are returned and are available on the day

Hope its right - 3 of my favourite artists there - Gareth, Russell and Aled.

Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere - I did check but couldnt find anything.

    Love Jill xx

  15. When I have listened in before - the show has started about 7.30pm and finished at 9.30 pm with a break in the middle...there have usually been 2 main performers with the orchestra - and they do about 4 - 6 songs each.

Occasionally there has been only one performer (Sir Cliff was on his own) but most times there are two artists.

It's brilliant to hear the singers with the orchestra - a real live sound which comes across on the radio beautifully.

I am so looking forward to hearing Gareth....

My sister went to the first show that G4 did (a couple of years ago) - and she said it was fabulous to be in the audience watching and hearing the show live.

PS If you get tickets to go to the show - you need to get there extra early as they give out more tickets than they have seats for - in case people dont turn up - they tend to want a full audience for the broadcast...some shows are fine - but popular artists can draw a lot of people - I would expect that to happen with Gareth.

    Love Jill xx
