eternal
Thanks Khelda. Not cheap for a quick brew but perhaps Gareth is trying to appeal to a more specialist market. I once watched a TV programme of a company trying to get their ware stocked on the shelves of Waitrose. It certainly wasn't easy. There are loads of hurdles to jump.
maria_1981
I did notice a Tesco foods and Sainsburies foods account further down the list of people they follow so perhaps those stores too, he needs to appeal to a down to earth market rather than just posh which i'm sure will be the case, I agree not cheap for a quick brew but that's probably because its a new brand of tea rather than regular teas.
lindajan
The RRP quoted is £4.20 for 15 teabags. The point of exhibiting at the Food and Drink Expo is to find retailers that are interested in stocking the product and what terms and conditions they would want. It is, I believe, extremely hard to get into the big supermarkets, especially with a brand-new product. There was a TV programme a while ago about Tesco and the demands it makes on suppliers (which weren't nice). I think that Cuppanut would appeal to health food shops and independent cafes, at least to begin with. The positive aspect is that coconut is one of the 'in' health foods at the moment.
ValR
I occasionally buy teabags from a company called tea pig, they also have specialist teas though not based on coconut and are similar though slightly cheaper in price. The use them at quite a few of the nice cafes and garden centres round here. If Gareth could get into the high end retailers and cafes I think he'd do really well with them.
eternal
I do think getting into individual cafes is the answer. Do Costa sell just their own range or do they sell others too? I watched the Tesco programme too Linda. They need you to confirm exclusiveity too, which can be hindering. Am sure Gareth has a target market.

Yorksheather
My tea arrived this morning . I have tried the coconut tea , it smells very nice , but can't decide if I like it yet . I drink coconut water regularly which I really like . Also I received the cuppanut tea today 16th April 2016 and the best before date is 15th April 2016 ! I wouldn't buy this if I saw it in the shops
Val4Gareth
I think the dates are between 15th April 2015 - 15th April 2019 Heather. If you look at the line below. That's how it read to me.
Yorksheather
I know it expires 2019 , but best before April 15th 2016 . I've bought all three flavours but I'm inclined to finish one box before opening another and opening the seal. I have several herbal teas on the go at the moment, but they are dried, where this is fresh coconut . I've had one drink and opened another bag and ate the coconut , which was yummy .
