Gareth got the best international male singer in MTV Asia Music Awards 2004 (in Singapore), one of the music awards ceremonies in Taiwan, and CCTV MTV Music Awards (in China), all of these were held in 2004. A talented and hard-working guy, right? He attended the MTV Asia Music Awards in the early 2004 and performed "Say it isn't so" with a female singer from Phillipines. Although he didn't turn up in the rest of awards, he was filmed two different video clips to say thank you to the fans already and they were showed in the awards. They can't even claim that they didn't know about them, because if Gareth filmed an acceptance speech then someone official would need to know, and it would be down to BMG in China/Taiwan to contact BMG in the UK to get him to film it.
