Totally agree, but then most people don't know about the latest album do they? I used to listen to the radio so much when Gareth was around partly in the hope of hearing him and partly to chastise the Dj's for playing dross instead of Gareth!!! :frantics: however now I don't listen because whatever the year they are focusing on or the genre he is never played. Can't figure it and never have been able to but it is a massive shame and a MASSIVE missed opportunity for any record company whatever the history between the artist and the label. xxx

I don't think Gareth is lonely, I think he was just papped on his own as he was walking round to the other side of the car to get in - perhaps? I do think he is naturally a slim person though, very slight, I have to admit I did think he was slim on PI because of his age and that he would fill out as he got older although on some pics it looks like he has put some weight on in person he remains very slight. I think perhaps instead of Sambuca he should develop a taste for beer that would soon pile the pounds on!!! :laugh:

My thoughts exactly Heather - have had time to read the review again and again and it is not bad at all really - I think I wanted a full thumbs up and 5 stars but then I do live in cloud cuckoo land a lot of the time! :laugh: Lets see what tomorrow brings. xxx

I am disappointed with that reveiw to be honest, mainly because Joe has not been to the showcase and to be honest I feel a more honest review would have been achieved after the showcase - which hopefully the other tabloid journalists and magazine writers will offer. I don't think Joe is comparing Gareth to George either - he thinks Gareth has been listening to George therefore implying that Gareth's music or at least Angel on My shoulder is influenced by George. I wish he had waited until after the showcase - then he could've given a much more in depth review. xxx

Just to let you all know that we collected £265.00 for Tracie. The flowers were £45.00 plus £2.00 delivery, so at present we have £218.00 to send to Anita. I am pleased we ordered flowers, I think they say so much and we still have a substantial amount to send to Harefield. Thanks everyone xxxx

I thought it could be a private party for the Sultan and friends and family, after all Gareth is there until 12th January so no reason to think he would not be performing privately. It was right and proper for the New Year concert to be cancelled given the events of Boxing Day but there is no problem with a private performance - and good for Gareth if that is the case and good for the T&A too. xxxx

Happy Happy Happy Christmas to everyone on here and the very best of New Years to you all. I too am very proud of all the friends I have made on this board and on ggates. I know we all come together with the love of Gareth as a common interest but we also deeply care about each other too. I see each and every Gareth fan as a soulmate and hope our friendships continue forever. Next year will be a very special time for us all, we have waited for what seems like eons for this album, for just a glimpse of Gareth here and there this past year, some of us have been luckier than others but having this board allows us to share what we can of our Gareth sightings. Body and Soul will be delighted with their "Christmas present" and I am sure that once again Gareth will be very proud of us.

The news page on ggates has been updated (thanks to rejuvinated for informing us) apparently Gareth is flying to Indonisia a the weekend to take part in a charity event for MTV Asia in support of HIV/Aids How brill is that!

It is Graham is'nt it. I bet Gareth and Graham were working with Judie and decided to go along to the gig, and ended up on stage. I am really pleased for Gareth that she has taken him under her wing so much. He needs to feel an integral part of the music business and working with people with so much respect within the industry is a valuable learning curve that unfortunately as a result of PI Gareth missed out on - Seems like he is certainly making the most of it now - Good for him. Great find!

I was already a very happy bunny but even more so now I can hear that precious voice all over again. I got a text off Chris (eternal) saying just 3 words "fantastic, fantastic, fantastic" think that sums up all our feelings don't you think?

How great is that article? sometimes i despair of the papers, one day printing utter tripe like that Brenda's letter then today filling pages with how wonderful Gareth is - I always thought journalists were a breed apart now I know they are for sure, wonder if the amount of emails they received yesterday re: B's stupid letter led them to print another great article or if again they put in B's reply to gain a response from fans. Perhaps they are trying to gauge how many fans will be there. Who knows!

I had a reply from one of the reporters from the Daily Mirror that I sent the Shanghai article to. He does'nt say anything other than Thanks but at least I know he got the email, read it and had the grace to thank me. I am all for building up these contacts now, forming some sort of relationship whilst things are quiet, showing the journalists that we are eloquent, responsible, sensible people who expect Gareth to be treated fairly. Fingers crossed he will do that all himself once he starts his promotion but there is no harm in us paving the way for him is there?

Thanks for that Hazzy! Wher did you find the article? Which newspaper was it in? Which country was the paper from? I only ask because I wondered if it would be worth emailing the article to Sneak and The Star mag as well as perhaps a number of the tabloids. I actually have the address of the editor of the 3am column in the Mirror now and would be more than happy to email the article to him with a covering note but obviously need to know where you got it from. I think it would do no harm to send the article to a few people, particularly the ones that showed an interest in Janice's call last week (Sneak and HEAT ). If 19 can't or won't promote him at the moment then I don't see the harm in us at least informing the mags of the details of the trip - especially as it was not a small low key affair as we first thought. Let me know what you think ...

Yet another reason to feel snubbed by BMG. I honestly do not understand why they feel that fans in the UK would not be interested in this news, and why they don't put this sort of thing on the board, it is a damm shame. Has anyone contacted BMG re: this latest lapse in their responsibilities?

He does he really does, lovely pics and a very high profile store, how wonderful for the Chinese people to get a glimpse first hand of him ... Great that it was on the TV too, now that is promotion imagine just how many households Gareth's interview went out to. I wonder if the performance was on the TV too or if the opening of the store was just on the News.

When we add up what we know he has to have been there for more than just the opening of the store. If the store opened on Thursday and Gareth was at the opening party, he was then photographed a the training day on the Friday at the Grand Prix, we know they had a VIP Private party on the Friday before the race on the Saturday and we know Gareth came home on the Sunday so all in all he has to have done "something" on the Friday .............. well that is my theory anyway. I am hoping that we can get some more information soon. Just lovely to know he is over there, performed to all those people, six songs is quite a lot and he will have had them eating out of the palm of his hand - what a thought Woo Hoo I just love this board!
