Something more to watch out for -
Thanks Khelda. I thought I'd just posted that in here, but have just realized I put it in the wrong thread.

Gareth is back in tonight and having fun by the sound of it.

Good stff indeed then. Gaz is going in the right direction. Bring on the next step.

Thanks for finding that Floz. Gareth is intending on a very varied catchment area with this new music. Wish he would announce something closer to home for me. But its getting very interesting how diverse his itinary is becoming. When you say they have some good stuff, what do you mean? Can you note down a few.

My heart did a little flip when I first saw WWRY mentioned. Wondering if Gareth may be going into the show, but I see its the Tour one.
-
Anyone got any idea who `Mackers' is? They've certainly had a lovely day for it. Its been beautiful down here.

Gareth was poorly yesterday Wonder what the Cardiff trip is for.

Thanks for posting up your pictures Doris. I love this one. Makes me feel like I'm still there chatting to him. You can see the pride in his face when talking about his music can't you. I think the first one was when he was walking towards us saying `Hi Guys'. Typical!

I think they may have used two different people for JOJ yesterday as I saw Simon Shorten say he was going to be on for the evening show, but that wasn't the one we had in the afternoon. I can't remember his name, but perhaps VarR will remember. She's pretty good at remembering names. One thing I didn't meantion. Yesterday was the first time in all the times I've seen the show both Tour and Queens, that there was applause after Eponine's death scene. Was quite surprised, although I've often wondered why its not applauded, as for me its one of the best scenes in the whole show.

We had another lovely day at Les Mis yesterday. Can't really add anything else about the show except to say seeing it at Queens for a second time, confirmed to me that I enjoyed the Tour version better. Having said that I do think the end of the Barricade scene was more gripping being able to see the bodies at the back of the revolve. Also still prefer Empty Chairs with Gareth sat at a table. His voice once again seemed to be better than ever. Lucie Jones was off again and there was also an understudy for JVJ, who I didn't like as much as Simon Bowman. I can sympathize with the lady who missed the end through fainting. It was extremely hot in the theatre. Don't know if it was the air-conditioning or just that it was a very hot day and they weren't prepared for it. We saw Gareth afterwards and he was lovely as usual. Said there was a party going on for Missy, which he was missing and also that the new music when we get it will be really good. Couldn't get any more than that out of him, but he was grinning like a Cheshire cat when he said it.

Gareth has posted more info about this on Facebook. http://www.facebook....&id=22143480870 Friday May 6th sees the opening of the first 'Gates and Wilkes Academy for Performing Arts'. These two performers are no newcomers to the entertainment field and will share their combined knowledge in this arena for their first venture together in Barnes, West London. It is here that children aged 3-18 will learn singing, dance and drama from highly experienced teachers. Jonathan and his wife Nikki already run two performing arts schools, 'The Wilkes Academy' in Stoke and Swindon. These have been such a huge success and they currently have long waiting lists because demand for places is so high. Students from both these schools performed last year to over 65,000 people at Old Trafford in Manchester, during half time for Soccer Aid (ITV1). Gareth's wife Suzanne and Jonathan's wife Nikki are both highly trained dancers and choreographers. They began their professional training at Laine Theatre Arts and have since gone on to dance with worldwide recording artists such as Robbie Williams, Diana Ross, Cher, Take That, Beyonce and Lionel Richie. They will both be teaching dance at the new academy in Barnes. Gareth, Jonathan, Suzanne and Nikki have been friends for many years and decided that the time was right to join forces and open their first school together. Classes in Barnes will run every Friday during term time, at the following venue: The Village Nursery School – Methodist Church Station Road Barnes London, SW13 0LP Gareth Gates first came to the attention of the public in the original Pop Idol ten years ago, selling over 4 million records, touring and having hits the world over. In recent years Gareth has appeared on the hit ITV1 show Dancing On Ice and more recently carved out a very successful career in theatre. He played Joseph in Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and currently stars as Marius in London's West End production of Les Miserables. An accomplished musician, Gareth not only sings and acts but also plays guitar and piano to a high level. At the age of seventeen, Jonathan Wilkes won the prestigious Cameron Mackintosh Young Entertainer of the Year Award, and became the youngest entertainer to headline his own show in Blackpool which ran for three years. Jonathan is currently starring as Khashoggi in the touring version of the hit Queen musical We Will Rock You. His past roles include the Donmar Warehouse production of Guys and Dolls playing Sky Masterson, The Wedding Singer and Grease. Last year saw Jonathan producing and starring in his own alternative panto show at the Manchester Opera House, alongside Paddy McGuinness. Well done on finding that Doris. Looks like Gareth is going to have a busy Summer. Best start saving I think. -
Gareth has posted this up. Is this the same place he was at last night. I think I read someone mention this place this morning.

Thank you for your report Snowdrop. I've been waiting for a detailed report from someone who had seen both the Tour production and the Queens one. The comparisons you made were almost exactly what I thought of the two productions. I couldn't have said it better if I'd written it myself. Everything from the revolve to the staging of Empty Chairs and everything else, were exactly the feeling I experienced when I went. I'm going again soon and am looking forward to it but would still prefer to be seeing the Tour version again instead.

Gareth has just posted news of his new venture with Jonathan Wilkes. Very exciting

Not a Gareth tweet, but she's a member of a girlband. Wonder what this was all about.

Wow! Thanks. This could be really interesting. I've never heard of the program. Which channel is it on?
-
Anyone got any idea what this might mean?
