  1. Just seen the Top 100 album chart published yesterday and surprised Gareth is not in it. I know there was very little publicity for the album but thought it might at least chart given that album sales are so low and it does not take much to get into the top 100 I was surprised how little Gareth did to promote the album (no album signings for example) and even though he did quite a few interviews it seemed to get a little lost with the big reunion and dancing on ice tour promotion. Shame really that more people were not aware that the album is out as I thought it could do quite well with the profile Gareth as at the moment
  2. Sad to see Gareth but to have finished 7th the All Stars series was more than he could have imagined when it started. The skate off was closer than the judged made out but I think that having the winners in the final six was always want the producers wanted so Gareth stood no chance even though Sam has been in the skate off three times and reading a few comments some people preferred Gareth routine. It will be interesting to see the results of the viewers votes after the series is finished to see how Gareth did in the public vote and how close he came to staying in I do think it is the right time for Gareth to leave and he has left on a high with his best performances and lots of positive comments from people who have enjoyed his routines and appreciated the progress he has made
  3. By chance managed to see the interview and they all came across well and they really seemed to enjoying themselves. Interesting that the questions of them working together after the tour came back and a couple were keen mentioning possibly recording new material but Gareth seemed to try and downplay it without ruling it out. I suspect Gareth with his plans for a solo album and maybe a return to musicals will be reluctant to commit full time to the group unless there is a real demand for them to continue and at this stage nobody knows. No disrespect to the others but Gareth is probably is the only one of the group who has a lot of options to him for future work and does not need to continue with band so I can understand him wanting to be caution about future plans. Looking forward to series.
  4. Well done to Gareth (and everyone who voted) It looks like Gareth will be up against Bonnie as they are similar in terms of skating skills. From what I remember they dance to the same song at the same time and then the judges decide who was best. I would say it is close between the two of them with Gareth the better skater and Bonnie the better dancer. Would be nice if Gareth won and we could save our calls for a week
  5. Enjoyable routine and Gareth certainly put in a good performance. Overall score was probably fair enough but Jason continues to be unfair in his mark. Gareth was ahead of Bonnie which was a bonus as well and gives Gareth a little more chance of staying in Have put in my votes - good luck Gareth!
  6. Have voted a few times Jason marks were shocking but might help Gareth get a few extra votes as people seem to be shocked by his score. I did feel that Gareth 's routine did not have the normal sparkle in the performance that he normally gives and wondered if he was because he was focussing so much on getting the tricks right
  7. Todd staying in means Gareth won't be last next week and gives him a little extra chance of staying in. They have not yet said if they will continue with public only votes or a combined judges/public vote to decide the skate off
  8. Well done everyone Great to see that he finished top four and we get to see him again in a couple of weeks time
  9. I was really impressed with Gareth's dance. I thought it was unfair he was last behind Joe but as the judges marks don't count I suppose it does not matter too much I have put in my votes for Gareth and I hope it will help but not feeling too confident at the moment.
  10. It would appear that the first seven skaters on Sunday are: Ray Kyran Gareth Joe Jorgie Bonny Hayley There may be good news that in the first week the public vote only will decide who goes out. The person with the lowest public vote goes out straight away and the 2nd and 3rd least votes have a skate off and judges decide. If we get in our votes for Gareth hopefully we can get him into the first four certainly he has a better chance than if the judges scores were being taken into account.
  11. They have not announced the seven celebs doing a routine on Sunday but hoping Gareth is on the second week as it would give him more time to prepare. I would be slightly surprised if Gareth was doing his first routine on Sunday given that he said he had taken a week and a half off the ice prior to Monday. It seems odd to do that if was going to do his first routine.on the Sunday. .Obviously he will be on the first show for the introductions and I would guess there is an opening routine with T&D which he will be part of. Getting through the first week with two going out will be very tough as Gareth will be near the bottom of the markings after the judges such is the standard of skaters and he will really need public support to have any chance of staying. Interestingly we will see the results of the public votes after the series is finished which did not happen when Gareth took part the first time (I would have loved to know how Gareth did especially in the semi final when we went out but as he was never in the bottom two think he was near the top most weeks)
  12. Good news now up to 5th just ahead of Suzanne now. That's not bad for one afternoon
  13. Tellymix have been running a Poll for people for vote for their favourite celebrity on the all stars series. Link http://tellymix.co.uk/reality-tv/dancing-on-ice/170083-poll-dancing-on-ice-2014-celebrities-whos-your-favourite.html Gareth is currently joint 8th
  14. Only 7 celebs taking part in the first show with the remaining seven on the second show. They have not yet said who is on what show but as Gareth is in Panto until the day before the first show he may be on the second show to give him a bit more time to prepare
  15. No doubt the inclusion of Dane was to ensure that their affairs with Jordan will be raised. It is the nature of the show to get the singers to reflect back on their careers high and lows hopefully with some sort of balance but you are to a large extent in the hands of the producers and the way they edit the show . Gareth is however very careful about what his says about his private life and I doubt he will say anything too revealing . As others have said Gareth has no nasty side to him and always come across well so it will be difficult for ITV not to show him a good light. Noticed tweets from the group being sent looks like they are looking forward to getting together and they will certainly have fun!, Dane has tweeted Gareth and asked him be careful on Dancing on Ice
  16. The 2013 show aired from end January until mid March with the live show at the Apollo in Hammersmith at the end of February so I am guessing it will be very similar in 2014. Each episode focussed on one or two acts so Gareth won't appear every week probably two or three maximum plus the final episode where they do the actual live show. There was a DVD on the live show released in April so hopefully they will do the same so that we can see the full concert as the final show only shows brief clips of the performance I assume they will make a decision on whether there is an arena tour based on the success of the one off show and series. They could I guess combine it with series 1 artists to make it more attractive. I am interested to see how the group will work. I am guessing they will do a set comprising of one or two of each of the singers biggest hits but done as one group. For Gareth Spirit in the Sky and/or Anyone of Us are obvious choices and great crowd pleasers
  17. I would have been far more comfortable if Gareth was appearing as a solo act but being part of a group of people none of whom have the same level of success and credibility that Gareth has is the worrying bit. The media are already building it up to be some of joke act and that is my real concern. The overall line up has not excited people as much as series 1 and I just hope that people buy tickets to the live shows or it could be embarrassing for everyone involved You are however right that we have to trust Gareth (and his management team) on this decision
  18. Have to agree with this. Not sure if it is a good move for Gareth No disrespect to the other four members of the band but Gareth has a successful career while the other four do not, By appearing with them it gives the media an easy way to lump Gareth with them as desperate. .They will not mention anything of Gareth's success as a musical theatreT singer Already seen a mirror article mocking the group. Gareth will have his reasons for doing the show (profile, money and the chance to sing in front of a big live audience) but not sure if this is really a good move on his part. On the positive side I guess it will good to see Gareth back on TV and he gets to perform live on stage. Hopefully he will sing his solo stuff with a bit of group singing. I hope it goes well but can't say I am happy with this news
  19. I am guessing that Gareth is doing the show to raise his profile ahead of releasing a new album which is not a bad idea just like Sophie Ellis Bexter is releasing an album in January just after she has appeared on Strictly. It looks like Ray Quinn is taking part and if so would probably be paired with Maria meaning Gareth would need a new partner. It would have been nice to see Gareth back with Maria. The only concern I would have is Gareth is taking part with winners/runners up and may struggle to compete with them. He will need public support or he could go out early. I believe there is a live tour planned in the spring a sort of farewell tour not sure Gareth is been lined up to take part
  20. Thanks for posting the information. Great news that Gareth will be in Les Mis and this can only enhance his reputation the within musical theatre industry. The fact that he got Joseph and this role suggests he is impressing all the right people  It will be quite a challenge for Gareth to a do a seven month stint maybe more in a show that is moving all the country and overseas but a great experience. It will also be hard for Gareth to be away for Suzanne and Missy for long periods of time but that's part of life when you are on the road as an actor I guess.
  21. Hi Sorry I have not posted for a while but still keeping an eye on what Gareth is doing  . Rushing to work today I noticed an advert at Victoria Station and saw Gareth's name. Not seen this mentioned anywhere which suprised me because any Gareth news appears on this site very quickly  Gazman 4 October. 22. Congratulations to Gareth on getting the part of Joseph :frantics: I switched on the TV and on the BBC London programme they had a lovely little interview with Gareth who was struggling a little with his speech but he looked so happy. They mentioned the fact that he had sold over 3.5 million singles in the UK as well which was good to remind people how successful he was as a pop singer. They also asked about wearing the loincloth and Gareth said he would have to go the gym but looking at him in that tight t-shirt I don't think he needs to  I am really looking forward to seeing Gareth in Joseph.
  23. The pictures are beautiful and the interview is lovely At the end of the interview they were asked about having children and Gareth and Suzanne appeared quite coy and seemed to be hiding something (well OK thought so). I wonder if we will be hearing news about a baby very shortly
  24. I bet he is asked but he does not seem that short of money that he has to do lots of these type of things. If the fans asked him to a do a private set do you think he woulld give us a discount  On the wedding deal with OK I think that Gareth and Suzanne have made a sensible economic decision to do the deal with OK so that they could have the wedding of their dreams without putting a strain on their future finances.
  25. I doubt that Gareth and Suzanne will have to worry too much as the OK deal must have been very good maybe a six figure number sum for such a big feature in the magazine. I noticed the cake maker, dress/suit designers as well as the castle getting generous mentions. I would imagine for all the publicity they are getting they gave Gareth and Suzanne some big discounts if not free maybe for the cake  Totally agree with that and what you expect from Gareth and Suzanne who don't court publicity and are quite private people. While the wedding was lavish and in such grand surroundings it did not feel too extravagent or wasteful and they used the money to make sure everyone had great time and the couple of course had a day to remember. The reception pictures for me showed at heart it was just a great occassion with family and friends albeit done in style & luxury and with the advantage of having a pop singer groom who did a 45 minute set  I wonder how much it would cost to get Gareth to sing at your wedding (Wayne Rooney paid for Westlife so its possible  )
