  1. Another report from Hyde Park - a little bit late from the cat that got the cream!! I decided I could go at the very last minute and luckily for me I only live about an hour away from Hyde Park! I didn't even have a ticket and accosted a very burly ticket tout outside the tube station - Blimey! The things we do for this man!! I joined the queue to get into the park, and was a bit late so I kept sneeking past people (don't you just hate queue jumpers!) Got in - very pleased ticket was O.K. - headed straight for the Pepsi Tent where Gareth was and got there literally with 5 mins to spare! Was happily surprised to see so many people in there, and especially pleased to see so many men. As everyone else who was there has said the performance was fantastic, Gareth's voice was very strong and I must say his group were terrific too - I think the group also earned him a bit of street cred. I had a great view, again by worming my way through the crowd and ended up standing next to a big burly biker looking man complete with kerchief on his head. I watched him and he was really enjoying the set - he even took some pictures towards the end on his phone. I also heard a young girl in her twenties turn to her boyfriend and say " I can't believe I have some Gareth Gates on my phone" I can honestly say I didn't see anyone who didn't look like they were enjoying the performance. After it was over I met up with some of the others and we decided after calming down to go and watch the Feeling on the main stage. To cut a long story short I went off to get something to eat and couldn't find my way back to the others - So, I walked right to the edge of the audience and was walking along trying to find the others when OMG there right in front of my eyes was the man himself!! Gareth was watching the Feeling with Suzanne and Michael Hay. Well what can you do! I texted like mad to the others to come over - twice! Meanwhile I had the delight of watching him enjoy himself. I saw several people go up to him to speak or get an autograph! I didn't like to go and interupt him and was quite happy to stand and enjoy the moment. But I did get my big chance - I didn't see him leave the group as I was texting the others again, but a few mins later I did see him and Michael walking right back towards me with a couple of beers in their hands! Well, this was it ! I turned round right in his path with a great big grin on my face - "Gareth! I said I really enjoyed your performance - it was great" I told him how much I enjoyed his music and how I couldn't wait until Monday to get the album. I told him about the "hairy biker" and that made him laugh. He thanked me for coming, and I told him to enjoy the rest of his day and said goodbye. He gave me a lovely grin and said bye. Thats it really - the girls just about forgave me! but honestly I did try to tell them!! What a fantastic day, and to think I nearly didn't get there at all!!
  2. Loved the performance of this on Jonathan Ross. I'm so happy to hear Gareth announce that the next single will be in June and I'm pleased they are keeping the momentum going. AOMS will I'm sure get some decent radio play. Fingers crossed for the charts tomorrow.
  3. I was looking forward to the programme so much that I thought I'd be disappointed. but not a bit of it! Gareth showed every side of himself - his sense of fun, his serious side, showed he could laugh at himself, was gracious about Will, was genuine and of course polite as always thanking Jonathan and acknowledging the four poofs when he came on - I always hate it when guests ignore them and their efforts, and my did you notice how they reacted to him, they adored him! He also managed to look effortlessly gorgeous at the same time. A real gem! I shall keep this interview and watch it often
  4. Well what a treat that was! I'm sure the sales of Heat have gone through the roof! How great is it to see the lovely Gareth back in the mags and he is just so photogenic
  5. But I'd recognise that sexy voice anywhere. Oh yesss! I can't wait until Sunday. Gareth's horizons have broadened in every sense, I bet he throughly enjoyed acting these scenes out in his video.
  6. Thank you to everyone who posted all these absolute gems. I'm absolutely thrilled with the positiveity of it all, and Gareth himself looks and sounds fantastic.
  7. A big thank you to everyone for the lovely photo's - how great is it to see some new Gareth shots! How photogenic is that man Thank you too for all the reports, every little snippet. I am like everyone I think, going back over this thread again and again! Drinking in all this Gareth info after our long Gareth drought. Now we have the documentary to look forward too - if we can only find out what day it is definately on!
  8. Well I think I've died and gone to heaven!!!!! A huge thank you Moludaima for all those gorgeous photos and for the fantastic report. I just don't know which bit made me the happiest - the thought of Gareth back on stage performing for all his screaming fans! To hear how fantastic the songs are and how many he wrote himself! To hear how well his speech is and that his sense of humour will now be able to shine through! All those gorgeous photos - how hot does that man look, loving the hair! As for the quote "thanking 19 and his family for their support and believing in him and being able to make the album he had always wanted" The gorgeous one is back bigger and better then ever by all accounts and I can't wait to hear his new music. It is just like old times - these boards are like a magnet. You just can't stay away - and who would want to. Thanks again to everyone for all the news.
  9. Disappointed not to get a call, but consoling myself by thinking about Christmas Eve and it will be here before we know it! Congratulations Walkatir and Moliudaima so pleased you got to go and I know we can rely on you both for a full and detailed report - Oooooh getting excited again just thinking about it :w00t: I can just imagine how excited you both must be :hyper:
  10. Exactly right Maggie! He just looks absolutely stunning, so stylish, and my those broad shoulders with the hair looking mighty fine. The tan just tops it all off. Sex on legs! It just comes so naturally for him :wub Oh, got so carried away there, I nearly forgot to thank the photographer - thanks a million Heather for that amazing photo.
  11. Me neither - shall be watching impatiently for the postie - guess what we will all be listening to over the weekend!! Thanks again Maggie and Snowdrop for all your hard work.
  12. Wow! I'm just amazed at how quickly the money mounts up. The great thing is that we are paying for something we really want and will enjoy, and Body and Soul are getting a great contribution which also makes us happy. Well done and thanks again to you and Snowdrop for all the work you are putting in to this project - I can just picture you struggling down to the Post Office with your big sack of mail to post, and I can't wait for mine to pop through my letter box.
  13. Loving the pics - thanks for posting Vicky. Janice - thanks for posting and posing I bet you never dreamed you would be on so many pictures - take no notice of Ally and Heather they are just jealous!!!
  14. What a wonderful idea you two - my mouth is watering already at the thought. I love the idea of the B sides! Why only over the Christmas period I was revisiting some of the singles, but it is so fiddlely! Now I shall be able to listen to then all in one lovely session. The best news is of course that you will be able to send more money to B&S at the same time. My order is on the way - thanks again. x
  15. Thanks Khelda for posting the picture, and a huge thank you to Vanessa for managing to keep her shaking hands still long enough to take it! Blooming heck - how can one photo, just of his back appear to be so dam sexy? Loving the hair too, and the way it justs lies on his neck! Can just imagine Gareth playing in the pool with the young 'uns, I suspect anyone laying in the vicinity of the pool area was well and truely soaked!! Hope Gareth enjoys the rest of his stay, and finds something to keep him occupied
  16. Oooh Thanks Yorksheather for the news. I was hoping Gareth would perform a concert for the Sultan. After all it seems only polite after the Sultan has offered him what I'm sure is amazing hospitality I'm sure the sultan's family were pestering him for this treat anyway - how could you possibly have the gorgeous Mr Gates in your principality, and let him get away without a performance!! I'm pleased the T&A have written about it, and a lovely article it is too!
  17. Very Best Christmas wishes from me to all the fantastic people I have met through originally joining the GGates Official site. When I think back, and realise that until February this year I hadn't even met any of you, and now I have made some really wonderful friendships! Although this has been a quiet year for Gareth, I have had an amazing year because of the concerts and the meetups shared with many of you on here. I know we have said this before, but Gareth supporters are one of a kind! We support and help each other when needed. Have a good laugh and mad adventures trying to track down the man himself (and occasionally much to our delight we succeed) We attend wonderful meetups, and spend all night discussing our favourite subject, and make many new friends. All I can say is have a wonderful Christmas and Roll on the New Year - so I can do it all over again!!!!!!! Denise. xxx
  18. Thanks Hazzy and Floz for the translation and the gorgeous picture. I'm so pleased to see your persistence paid off! I agree Gareth is looking so hot - in every sense of the word I have to say that man is not looking so skinny these days either! - can definately tell he has been working out!! Roll on a long hot summer here, so we can admire more of his gorgeous bod.
  19. I think its great that Gareth has the time this year to be able perform at this charity event. This is exactly what Gareth has always said he wanted to do - help the sick and the hurting. I'm also very proud that Gareth appears to be the only western artist appearing - what very good taste those people in Asia have! I'm pleased but amazed that the News page has been updated in advance of this event. Lets hope this is just the start of BMG and 19 management giving Gareth their full and proper support!
  20. I agree Snowdrop- it is a good experience for Gareth, and I'm sure he throughly enjoyed it. In the normal course of events I sure he would have performed many gigs like this one, but because of the way he shot to fame in P.I. he missed out on all this. I wonder how many people in the audience realised it was him? And many thanks Floz, for your detective work - the pics are gorgeous.
  21. OMG! Thank you, thank you Floz and Snowdrop for the links I was so disappointed when I couldn't get to hear it earlier on Pulse. I though I would have to wait until it was on Sharon's site- but no Christmas has come early! How fantastic was his speech, and the singing was so pure - it was beautiful. Like many on here tonight I am so emotional! I think it is a combination of hearing Gareth sing after so long, listening to him speak so well, imagining him on that stage with all the fans screaming for him. I hope he really enjoyed himself too! As the Professor just said I'm getting greedy now and want to see the gorgeous pictures Thank you so much guys once again. x
  22. I've just read the 'Technical' thread - so at least I now know why I can't get on. Blow me - a 100 listeners isn't very many!! There must be loads of people who can't get on. I'll just have to rely on your dialogue! I'm loving the sound of the Gareth chants - I can just imagine them. At least we know we can listen to it in the end - thanks to Floz chatting-up Perry!
  23. Evening folks - flippin heck am I the only one that can't connect to the Pulse! The link was working fine last night when I tried it out in anticipation!! Oh this is torture! I know what it must be - too many people are trying to tune in to listen to the gorgeous one!!
  24. Maggiemags and Snowdrop This is a wonderful idea, and I have already placed my order. I think this is a win win situation - I get to hear many of the fantastic songs that I love and remember from Pop Idol, and as for the acoustic Cd - I just go weak at the knees to hear Gareth's acoustic renditions - he is the master as far as I am concerned!! Plus I also get to help Body and Soul, a cause very close to Gareth's heart. Thanks to everyone who contributed towards these CD's - Great teamwork yet again.
  25. Thank you Janice for finally laying our fears to rest. I'm struggling to accept that I can't go - I can't get the time of work for a start! Its been a very long time since I played hookie - I have visions of me phoning in sick, and then being spotted on prime time television lunging after the gorgeous one as he serenades us with Silent Night So, It looks like I'll be relying on you and your video Jhoy. Sharpen up those elbows girl, and get us some breathtaking shots. I'll be on here that night, where we will be making the best of not being there, and relying on those that are for a blow by blow account.
