  1. I loved it. I must admit to feeling a bit anxious for him after his very first radio interview. I agree with all the above. You could just see what a superb instructor on the McGuire Course he must be and totally understand all those glowing reports from the courses. One of the most satisfying things for me was to look round at the faces of the other people who were watching with me- those open mouths and goofy grins of pure enjoyment interspersed by open laughter said it all really.
  2. What wonderful reports and photographs from everyone. Thank you all so much. I'm being greedy and asking for a little more info---about Gareth's voice. I'm not expecting miracles, although Gareth fans are capable of anything  but I would love to know whether he uses his "head voice" as much as he did before, or whether he wanders down into his "chest voice" a little more often. One of the reasoms I love the performance of Oh Holy Night from Bradford 2 years ago was the hint of things to come as his voice matured. Does he still take advantage of his hiuge range when he sings?
  3. Great News. Now I really will have to get to grips with the new video recorder :frantics:
  4. Looking fabulous. My order is coming in.
  5. What a gorgeous new banner. I use Firefox as a browser and it covers the links at the top of the page, however I thought that I would try with Internet Explorer and all is well. I don't know whether that's of any help.
  6. What a wonderfull collection. They must be very time-consuming to make.
  7. Thank you very much indeed for doing all this.
  8. I love this song and love the way you are adding Gareth's music to the site. I think the photo with the candles would be perfect on two counts. It's an absolutely gorgeous photo, beautiful expression etc. ' but for me the candles themselves also fit very well with the lyrics.
  9. Mine arrived this morning! I'm bith amazed and delighted as I wasn't expecting them for a while considering I forgot to pay for them until the end of last week! Talk about super service. (and who needs first class post!) Thank you Snowdrop and Maggiemags so much.
  10. I love the expression on the older baby's face.Obvious approval but ?mixed with slight anxiety lest the nappy doesn't fit as well as it might!
  11. Thank you for this. How wonderful for Gareth. There must have been more difficult/almost impossible situations for him to overcome than most of us can imagine and it is so good to hear that he is continuing to fulfill them now. This must have been very special for him. QUOTE(R4RLJ @ Dec 23 2004, 10:23 PM) Shall we add the poem to the thread? yes please.
  12. A very Merry Christmas everyone. I hope you all enjoy the day whatever you are doing.
  13. Thanks for this. Fabulous to read.
  14. It is exciting isn't it? I meant to ask whether he could direct me anywhere that might have info. if he hasn't. Please feel free anyone to follow this up if anything comes of it. I shall be away from the computer all day tomorrow so anyone who can get there first please do. By the way, completely O/T but I don't think it's worth a separate thread but on my travels I dicovered that Siti (of MTV Asia awards) is giving a concert in London next year. I can't remember when but I think it may have been in April and I think in the Royal Albert Hall.
  15. Sorry, just seen this. There's quite a lot of English dotted around so I think there's a fair chance of being understood.
  16. There doesn't seem to be an email but I've left a comment asking for news.can only hope there's a response.
  17. Me too. I wonder whether he wrote one especially for the occasion, somehow I wouldn't be at all surprised.
  18. I haven't found any reports etc. but I have found the programme for yesterday on this site http://dj-okay.blogdrive.com/ out of date I know but I enjoyed seeing it. Just editing to say - fantastic find rejuvenated, thank you so, so much - but to anyone who clicks on the link - be warned, there's some potentially dodgy pop-ups on the site - do not click on them, just close them by clicking the X in the top right-hand corner of the box
  19. Jakarta, Disctarra.Com There's also quite a large article on Gareth and the concert here with a photo under the live concert section. Unfortunately I can't read it but Gareth is highlighted and I think there's a comment about his interest in AIDS education. It's a shopping site as well, but I don't suppose there will be a dvd. Sorry Floz. I think the write up is an extract from your article. The quote by Debbie certainly is the same.
  20. I found this about Staying Alive on SBS television site. Gareth's in very good company indeed Staying Alive began in 1998 as an Emmy award-winning documentary profiling the lives of six young people from around the world infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS. Staying Alive is involved in a massive HIV/AIDS awareness and global fundraising drive for the Nelson Mandela Foundation. A unique collaboration of some of the most influential parties in music performed at this concert in Cape Town on November 29, 2003, prior to World AIDS Day. Artists include Bono, Beyonce, Britney Spears, Shakira, The Corrs, David Bowie, Anastasia, Annie Lennox, Dave Stewart, Oprah Winfrey, Sting, Paul McCartney, Queen, Johnny Clegg, Youssour N'Dour & others. (From Malaysia, in English) (Rpt) WS
  21. Thanks for the Link Snowdrop. They all appear to be local artists except for Gareth. Slightly off topic. Does anyone remember a magazine article in an eastern European mag. ?Polish last year sometime when Gareth responded to very personal questions handing out excellent safe sex advice? I wonder if the fight against HIV/AIDs is something that he has decided to support in a very major way.
  22. I hadn't realised that Gareth fans were chanting for him during Rooster's set when I made my previous comments about them, I agree that it's rude and seen Gareth give similar episodes "disattention" Hopefully they will have enjoyed his beautiful voice. The scan has appeared since I started to type this. Gorgeous photo and it really does look as if a good time was had by all. Thank you very much R4LJ.
  23. Thank you for typing all that up. It's a lovely report. Pity if Rooster felt their noses were put out of joint but realistically they should have realised that Gareth would be a great success in his home town and hopefully they would have been warned about the effect he has on people.
  24. Yes I have thanks. That made me so happy for him. I love the fact that he's just out there singing and enjoying his music away from the spotlight sometimes. Lovely pictures.
