  1. Really saddened to learn this news. Nicola was one of the originals on the community. She always had a very fair opinions which she shared with others. She took a great deal of pleasure from being a Gareth fan and made a lot of friends online. Particularly tragic to lose life at such a young age.
  2. Looking at the clip of New Kid in Town, isn't it great that they've got a signer for the deaf on stage. They must have taken on board that request from one of the young fans...............
  3. Reading all this and looking at June's fab photos (esp the last one!) has melted all the summer worries away. Glad everyone who went had a fab time. What can anyone say, but more please. :frantics: Hope those who have the lights to look forward to on Friday have a great time.
  4. Sara, Gareth must feel very honoured to have a young fan who has travelled so far to see him. Your dad seems to be enjoying himself too!
  5. So pleased everyone who went was well rewarded :hyper:
  6. Great report. Lovely to learn POTOS and LIY had an airing. Glad you and Maggie had a good time
  7. Hope Wendy is shaping up for her role in the video :frantics:
  8. For those who visited Fareham and Portsmouth today, this must have been the icing on the cake. How great they used the lovely Ricky as warm-up man for Gareth. Jonathan certainly brought out the best in Gareth, who was a star in his own right. He must have put a lot of preparation into all this and it certainly paid off. A joy to watch and listen to. You never know, one day he may be invited back with his band.
  9. Hope I'm not being too cheeky here! For those prone to palpitations, it's only a couple of pumpkins! Sorry to disappoint those who aren't.
  10. It's actually quite a big painting. It was in one of the magazines I believe and I think a man was holding it. It was originally on the ggates site
  11. ..........Sudden rush to join the National Trust
  12. If we are honest any really serious music artist wouldn't have a calendar at all. Even the 'natural' photos are posed. But it's clever really. What's it designed to do? Get people noticing, thinking, discussing....... It's already achieved that and we've only glimpsed the cover. I'm afraid the new target audience is not the converted, or dare I say it, the mums or the middle-aged . I've never bought myself a calendar before, but now I'm thinking I may well this time round, for a dare, just to be provocative and embarass my son even more than I do now. And, yes the warning signals were there - all those months down the gym. But I like the scruffy look, more than the formal (black suit for a special treat of course). However, the future music quality is important to me. I don't want him singing just anything..... that's not what this long wait has been all about. The calendar is a bit of frivolity. There's room for both.
  13. Yes, James Blunt - good choice - he did bare his upper torso in the Beautiful video! Of course Gareth's vain, but he'd probably be the first to see the funny side of that. I'm thinking the new music's got to be extra good now to prove he can be both frivolous and super-talented. I'm sure it will be.
