I do hope you manage to contact this lady on FacebookJune. Good luck with it, Gareth's version of those songs was so beautiful.

Welcome back Maria. I wondered where you were.

Thank you all for your lovely reports. I am sure that last day must have been very emotional. What a great trouper Gareth is to come out to the fans in the rain. I remember he did the same at Valentine at the Musicals in February, bless him!

That was great to listen to, and watch Gareth thoroughly enjoying performing it. Many thanks

Thanks for posting about the gig at Pizza Express Floz.I count myself very lucky that Gareth is performing in my area, as I usually have to travel a great distance to see him. Both Pizza Express at Maidstone, and the Dartford Festival are less than 40 miles from where I live.
I am also off to Heaven with June and Vera, and looking forward to it very much, although London is not near to me.
I hope you all get to see Gareth at venues close to you during this year.

how lovely to hear that Gareth is eating breakfast, and also going back to the show. You can't keep a good man down!

Mashed potato sandwiches, never hear of that before, but when I was young and slim I used to like chip sandwiches!

That is wonderful Heather, many thanks!

Didn't they do well! Gareth has won a lot of money for charity in the past year, and with Suzanne helping too, what a beautiful couple they are.

It's good to see the references made to Gareth from the Flamingos night.
Seems he went down a storm. I like what this guy writes:
Thinking the spelling may be down to a few extra beers but good of the guy to say what he thinks
Great, many thanks for sharing that.

At last I have seen this fantstic show too. :frantics:
It was absolutely marvelous, loved every min of it. Mind I had tears running down my face for quite a while too, lol
Loved the music, can't wait for the CD to be released, hope they do that soon.
Gareth was fantastic , and I did spot him in a few of his other roles.
It qas lovely meeting people from the boards too, catching up and saying hi.
We saw Gareth come out of the stage door too, looking lovely, I taken a few photos. He was then running down the street with his hood up (it was raining) and clutching a bag of goodies.
It was a great day.
I'm so glad you have now seen it Inge, and enjoyed it so much. What a fantastic show!

I have applied for tickets, if lots of us do, some may be lucky, and then they can report back to everyone else. I presume we do get to see Gareth if we are in the audience, even if it is for a radio programme?

Just arrived home after a fabulous, fantastic night. I have seen Les Miserables several times in Manchester and in London and it has always been my favourite musical by far. I was just a tiny bit apprehensive about whether I would mind some of the changes but I just loved every single minute of it. The whole cast is wonderful - I don't think I could find any weakness in it at all. The staging is beautiful, the music, the powerful emotion of it all... and as for Gareth, he was fantastic.
Quite apart from his beautiful voice, he more than holds his own and what a privilege for him to be working alongside John Owen Jones. I thought he was a great Marius, so handsome and sensitive. Before the performance I heard a man sitting behind me ( who had seen several other productions of Les Mis ) say he didn't think Gareth would be strong enough for the part - but at the interval I heard him say several times how impressed he was with Gareth and how he had suprised him at how good he was.
I think I can honestly say that it was the best show I have ever seen - I am lucky that I am going again in the last week here in Manchester and again in Salford. I can't wait.
Forgot to say they got a well deserved standing ovation. Will post any other bits as they come to me - my mind is still in a whirl!
I love your report Judy, it's great! it's lovely that Joe public is being won over by Gareth isn't it? I am so proud.

That's really interesting, thanks.
It might explain why they've just released some more tickets for that night. They'll have been saving spare "just in case".
Posted on the Facebook earlier today:
Some Empty Chairs have just been released at Wales Millennnium Centre for 22 Dec. The ticket office number is 08700 40 2000.
Yes, and I do belive that is Press night, and we can look forward to reading reviews soon after that.

Thanks Flower. I have just remembered for any one going on 22nd December. I was told this is the official opening night, and that is when they have their party. Gareth may not be able to meet his fans that night.

Love this comment under your review especially.
Yes Inge, I wanted to get feedback from people who were not fans before, it's great isn't it!

Carol, fabulous report. Been anxiously waiting to read it! Can I just ask you about his solo, empty chairs. How did he perform and what sort of reception did he get? Thanks.
Hi Judy,
I have put up a review on the main site, in which I mention about his solo performance. It was quite a hard one to write, as this show is very different from the norm. I have tried not to sound like a biased fan, so really hope I have written enough about him, and given him adequate praise, as he really is a true star in every way.!
I would be grateful if you could give me some feedback when you have read it, as I do put my heart into these articles to try and help Gareth.
