  1. I loved the first series too. But I grew up with a lot of those bands and loved 5ive aswell. Actually went to see 5ive on their solo tour, wanted to go to the big reunion tour but couldn't get time off. I did however see a lot of the tour on youtube and it was well received and looked like a great show. I like you don't really have an interest in any of the others in series 2, if Gareth hadn't been involved then I doubt I would be watching
  2. They all have to be on the first show whether skating or not to be introduced. (usually) Really not a fan of the splitting them up first couple of weeks though Think there will be some shock exits
  3. I understand what your saying but The Big reunion is all about groups so he would never have been able to appear as a solo artist. I think some people are just very surprised at this and not really sure how it is going to work but It could work well you never know. The "supergroup" is the one getting the most attention right now, ok some may be quite harsh but it's them who most are talking about. I agree about what your saying re live shows, gigs etc. I don't think they would have a problem filling the (I think it was the Apollo) for one night. But it would be after that. Although I really wouldn't be surprised if they join both series up at some stage to try and do a tour that way? This is just how I feel about them, there could be more people out there than we think who would go and but tickets etc. Just have to wait and see I guess
  4. I guess we just have to trust Gareth in what he's doing. He is smart and he must see something in this project that is beneficial to him. The thing is though, the first series was very successful but that is because most of the bands on there were big first time around. They also managed to do 2 tours out of it and some are doing other stuff now. 5ive did their own Uk/Oz tour which was successful and I believe 911 are touring next year aswell. Them along with Atomic Kitten and Liberty X (although think they have chosen to stop) could go on and do new music. I just don't see them ever topping the first series, but you know what Gareth IS probably the most successful out of the next lot and that can only be a good thing for him. And Gareth finally mentions something - Gareth_Gates: Can't wait for The BigReunion... Ive written some brilliant new songs and it's a good why of getting back into that world again.
  5. Not sure how I feel about the group thing but it will be good seeing him back on tv and it may give him a chance to put some stuff straight as far as stories and what his life was like on the back of a reality talent show. It lets him put his side across. I was a big fan of the first series of Big reunion and hearing what some of those guys went through and how tough the industy is really is an eye opener. We know how brutal the industy can be and how they drop you when things get tough. And also how hard they work these popstars when things are good. If I'm being completely honest the "supergroup" is only the really thing interesting about the second series, a rather poor line up. Wonder what music they will do? 2014 is certainly shaping up to be quite a big year already for Gareth.
  6. Well this is a bit of a surprise http://www.itv.com/thebigreunion News now on his website too!
  7. Sounds like a great night. Thanks for reports and Val for the vids. Off to watch now
  8. Great reports. Was looking forward to hearing reports from Bradford. Must have been a very special night for Gareth not just him performing but his students too. So pleased the academy has and will continue to be a success. Lovely what Jimmy said aswell, does sound like they get on very well and have become close. Thanks for sharing
  9. Don't really have time to write a report. But just wanted to pop on and say how great the show was last night. A lot of osmonds fans there which was to be expected but everyone got a great reception. Chico I thought was really funny as was ShaneRichieJr he was the cheeky chap and really played his role well. Gareth well what can I say he was just amazing as always, so good to see him live again. Puppy love and If you leave me now being my favs. Oh and SITS is always a good one Wasn't really sure about Andy's role he is a good singer but didn't really stand out for me. The Osmonds even though I didn't know many of their songs they were really good aswell and really appreciated the reception they received. Didn't have time to wait at the end but went home with a smile on my face
  10. Thanks everyone for posting reports, vids and reviews. Been great reading them all. Can't wait to see it in a couple of weeks Can anyone tell me what time it finishes or how long the show lasts? Thanks xx
  11. So is it being launched as just Gates academy now? What happens with the others then. Not with Jonny wilkes now which I thought might happen. The schools in Bradford and MK are theses still Gates&wilkes or have they been changed. It's good that he is still committed if that's the case
  12. Great report and pics. Thanks for posting
  13. Aww what a nice pic. Bet Missy had great fun with her Daddy. Nice that they can share moments like that
  14. Agree with what you said Val Barbigirl - Yes you are right aswell. It's hard seeing people write horrible things when nobody knows what the truth is. I don't have a problem with people having different opinions. But I sense that is not the case here, just wanting to be hurtful all the time.
  15. Another negative comment from you. Why are you even on a Gareth FAN site? You clearly aren't a fan. And as for your comment, nobody knows what goes on in people's lives. speculation and rumours can be very hurtful. You don't know what is True/Not True. At the end of the day it is a very difficult time for them all and their families.
  16. It is such a shame. They have been together such a long time. I must admit I did feel something maybe wasn't right. Not because of the press reports or anything like that though. Feel for little Missy. But I am sure they will work together and make sure she has a fantastic upbringing. Best wishes to them all, Gareth and suzanne have been together such a long time, I'm sure they still care alot about each other. letting go is the hardest part, things will get better.
  17. loved reading all of the reports, thanks everyone for sharing. Can't believe the run is over already
  18. Link doesn't work for me edit - finally opened, nice little read
