This Day in History 2002 a fierce (but friendly) battle was fought. The result for us was our Pop Idol Photo courtesy of Dorral Images! We remember Will too! Thankyou Gareth for your hard work and commitment, from then till now, providing us with many a chance to see you sing live. Firm friendships have resulted in us following you and lots of good times have been had. We wish you lots of luck for the future and look forward to more of those performances. From us all at GPG

Gareth's heartfelt words at the passing of his friend from Pop Idol days - Darius Gareth's Instagram I can’t quite believe the news of my dear friend Darius passing. I’m heartbroken. Darius took me under his wing during our time in Pop Idol, like a big brother; always looking out for me and for that I thank you my friend. I will miss our chats. He was one of the most beautiful, intelligent and gentle souls I was lucky enough to know, a soul that lit up every room. Good bye my friend.
