  2. Well Ann says' nice photo with it.Poor girl hadn't read all the paper yet,and I was making her read it out to me.There was more about Gareth doing the lights again,I think that was another article, says they are shutting the roads by the square, they did that last year
  3. I have just been talking to Anne Gates, who has arrived in Bradford from Devon and bought the T&A.She tells me Gareth is mentioned in an article, with a pic of him at This Years Bradfords Bravest Awards. Pop star Gareth Gates has spoken of his former school friend Chantelle Bleau ,as her memorial fund prepares to host a national conference. Chantelle Bleau from Little Horton Bradford died of a heart attack in 1997,after inhaling gas from a lighter refill. The 16 year old was a class mate of Gareth's at Dixon City Of Technology College. On Friday a conference highlighting the danger of inhaling toxic substances will be hosted at The HanoverHotel ,Bradford,by The Chantelle Bleau Memorial Fund, and the charity Solve It. Gareth said,"Chantelle was bright, bubbly and full of fun and her death came as an emotional shock to all her school friends.I have fond memories of her,but keep thinking what an appalling waste of a young life it was, when she died, I'm full of admiration for Chantelle's family setting up this charity, and for all the staff and volunteers who gave so much dedication, and time to making people aware how serious the problem is" Anne says the line up for the lights are mentioned in the T&A,mentioning Gareth again Love Heather

  5. Hi Emma,I was there for 20 past two last year. There were just a bunch of dedicated fans already in the queue. It doesn't get really busy till tea time, but they only allow 1,000 in the square then the barriers are put up.But I would be there by three if you don't mind the waiting to make sure of getting in near the front. It's great at the front,as the stage isn't far from the crowds
  6. Hi Cat,great to see you on here.I remember I sat with you on the train last year going home from the Lights.I knew you were a Gareth fan when I saw your red ribbon Hope to see you again,it 's going to be brilliant

  16. Well it still has this on the Pulse site. Bradford Christmas Lights Centenary Square, Bradford Thursday 18th November An evening packed with entertainment to get Bradford in the festive mood. We'll be live in Centenary Square to flick the big switch and get the seasonal glowing going They do have a lot of local things, like someone from the pantomine, can't remember who is on this year. Some very stompy looking local dancers, dressed up Christmassy.Fun and games. They also usually have the winning local rock band from a comp to perform at PITP.Then last year it was Phixx,Cleo and Gareth. It did sound like they were having someone headlineing this year, and it deff wasn't Gareth, then lights switch on then Fireworks. Wendy did say he was deff going to be there, but things can change, but I am hopefull
  17. I'm sure Gareth will have Bradford marked in his diary,he seemd pretty determind to be there. But nothing has been written in stone.I'm thinking Pulse Radio will start advertising once they have Halloween out of the way,but we do know that Gareth isn't headling this year as usual.I hope we don't get someone we'd rather not see
  18. Also someone at Pulse Radio, told someone it looked like Gareth was going to be there.
  19. Have you seen on gg boards,Laura'sMum has posted that she has been intouch with Bradford Information Centre who say as far as they know Gareth isn't going to be there. She is asking which part of Bradford Council, confirmed it? I thought it hadn't been confirmed officiallyv ?until Snowdrop posted The Gareth Mail ?
  20. I agree Hazzy about thse boards being a good back up.The slow gg boards are driving me mad
  21. I can't wait Janice ,but don't think I could handle you as well
  22. Last year it rained early on,and the kids didn't like my brolly,it was wetting them. Then it warmed up and I ended up holding all the young fans hats, gloves and scarves
