Very sad to hear that LindaJan has passed away. Judging by the comments on here it seems she was thought of very fondly by you all. Condolences to her family. RIP

Really enjoyed reading all the posts about Sponge Bob! The reviews are very good and it sounds like an uplifting production. It just shows how versatile Gareth is to be able to take on something like this and who knew he could tap dance!

Loved watching this clip of Loose Women. I never watch it now and missed his appearance on the panel. I thought Gareth came across as a thoroughly nice guy and I genuinely think the panel liked him too.

Really good to hear it was the best panto you’ve seen Gareth in. I would have loved to see it, but a bit far at this time of the year. I thoroughly enjoyed scrolling through Neil Hurst’s instagram page. Lots of Gareth videos from lockdown etc. brought back lots of memories too. Thank you for including the link and I’m glad I didn’t miss it this time!

So lovely to look back on 20 years ago when Pop Idol took over our lives. We lived in a different house then and we so enjoyed our Saturday nights then watching Pop Idol. We thought Gareth was going to win that night and it was such a disappointment that he was pipped to the post by Will. There hasn’t been anything like it since even the X Factor or Britain’s Got Talent. Pop Idol gripped the whole country and we chattered about it at work. I can’t imagine a TV programme being like this again as there are so many other TV channels to watch now.

I agree with you all about mask wearing too. I wear a mask always to go in shops. I don’t use public transport at the moment, but would wear a mask if I did. My husband and I had a conversation today about how everyone seems to have gone back to normal as though nothing has happened over the past 18 months except for some people our age. We commented on how it’s affected us as a couple and personally and we realize how our own world has shrunk over this time. We must get back to our normal activities before too long as I fear we might lose the confidence in our own abilities. 18 months ago I never would have thought that I would feel like this, it’s a strange feeling!!

I don’t know where they are, but It’s been torrential rain showers here on the east coast since Friday 6th.

So glad we recorded it. Really enjoyed seeing Gareth on Jane McDonald show. I didn’t know the duet song they sang, but really loved the Les Mis song. We rewound it and listened to One day more again with the volume turned up!
