  1. Actually Eternal, I think you are right and its possible the partnership is not continuing as it has been. Noticed on Twitter that both Gareth and Johnny are now promoted separately.
  2. Ha ha, vicar! I vaguely remember the photo, but can't remember his hairstyle!
  3. Totally agree with everything in your post Elaine. Just hope that this isn't going to be the hair style he settles into in the long term!! I prefer a more natural look. Just my opinion.
  4. Not sure whether Gates Wilkes Academy have disbanded completely, but I think one of the academies might be either closed or closing.
  5. Have just read this review which largely was quite nice. However, also notice that Hairspray the touring musical are in Bradford at the Alhambra theatre, which is just a stone's throw away the same evening that Boogie Nights are in Bradford. I just hope that Boogie nights gets a good audience in too as it sounds as though they deserve it and I am looking forward to a fun evening.
  6. Thanks Sophie for these two videos from Jesus Christ Superstar. I haven't seen either of these clips before, but have to say I think Steve Balsamo nailed this one. I always thought I would like to see Gareth in J C S one day, but not sure which role would be most suitable for him. I might buy this C D though! First I've heard of it.
  7. Yes I have noticed that too regarding lack of TV advertising. I suppose appearing on This Morning and Jimmy Osmond has been on a few programmes too, was probably thought to be sufficient. Good then to see it promoted more. I think the interview was done over the phone but I might be wrong. I never think these type of interviews seem to work that well.
  8. I have just read the interview above and agree it does start off a bit negative, but after that I think it was good. It all sounded very positive to me and shows what a driven character he has. He is a big inspiration to many people and there are lots out there who could learn a thing or two by emulating his work ethic. Personally, I think he has the right idea of having many fingers in many pies and I for one am enjoying seeing him in so many different things. On the hair issue!! I liked his hair best around the time he got married. Also when he was in Les Mis. However, I know they have to keep changing it and be up to date. I also like the tanned image, but in my opinion he has taken it too far. Speaking from experience he is going to regret using those sun beds in years to come, but I wouldn't be told at his age!!
  9. Agree with this, I have watched it loads in the middle of the night when I can't sleep!!
  10. I have to say I don't like Gareth's hair in this style at all at the moment. I haven't from the beginning as I don't think it suits him at all. I know its a fashionable style at the moment amongst young men, but I haven't seen any of the young celebrities that I have liked it on yet. Dare I say also that I don't like how orange he looks either lately. I love him to bits and know I might sound a bit of a fuddy duddy!!! I haven't had chance to read the article above yet so can't comment on that. Reading all the lovely reviews though from the concerts I am really looking forward to seeing Gareth in Bradford later in March. Yay!! I am sure he must be picking up new fans along the way with this concert.
  11. Lovely report Val from Plymouth show. Its good when they change things a bit especially if you are lucky enough to see the show twice! It does sound quite unusual in that people are allowed to go to the front near the stage. I have never seen that before, but having said that I have never seen so many clips of a show I haven't yet seen either.
  12. Fabulous reports from everyone, it certainly sounds like you all had a good time together. I am really looking forward to seeing Gareth singing puppy love and the YMCA song. I saw Andy Abraham a couple of years ago at Wakefield theatre and he was fantastic, much better than I had expected so I am looking forward to seeing him too. Have to wait until March though.
  13. So funny. Thanks for posting this Sophie. I am really looking forward to seeing this and singing along!
  14. I can't decide whether to show my husband the videos now or just say nothing and see what he thinks on the night! Up to now I haven't said anything of what it's about. It's my guess he will absolutely love all the music, but hate the story! He always moans about having to take me to Gareth shows etc, but secretly I think he enjoys it. He took me to see Loserville in Leeds twice surprisingly.
  15. Having seen this video I think it's worth seeing the show just to see this.
  16. I thought she looked a bit sad too, but I suppose its a bit overwhelming with the crowds, fans etc. it's a good photo though.
  17. You are only doing what everyone else does on here and reporting what you have seen and there's nothing wrong in that. It is a forum after all and not everyone will have the same opinion. I like reading your contributions to this site so please keep them coming!!
  18. I agree with this, if we are being nosy I think we have over the years been encouraged to be involved in Gareth's private life through Gareth's family connecting with fans the way they have. In some ways this has made him seem quite special to us fans, but in reality is probably over and above what is normal for an artist. It could be that now Gareth is older and has split from Suzanne he wants to keep things a bit more private than before and we are all finding it a bit difficult to be suddenly excluded. I did used to think though that Suzanne was extremely accommodating towards us fans, especially introducing Missy to us all. Looks like we are now entering a new phase and we need a period of adjustment.
  19. Brilliant article. Gareth is a very inspirational man. He must surely have helped many people overcome problems like this and in other areas of their life.
  20. Val - I haven't read the post you had with another Gareth fan a few months ago. Like you and many others on this forum we all have come to the realisation that Gareth is just like us (hopefully normal!) and prone to the same temptations. I am pleased that you remembered who the actress was who wrote that article I mentioned because when I read it it made me realise why these things happen and strangely it made me feel better and I think it would help other people on here too. Thank you for posting the actresses name. X
  21. Hi Browneyes, I too have followed Gareth since the very first Pop Idol programme. Everyone who knows me knows I am a fan, but over the years have noticed that some of my friends seem to take a bit of a delight in breaking their necks to tell me every bit of negative publicity that has ever been published about Gareth (as if I hadn't read it already)! Of course, every time they did this I reacted the same way, defensively and angrily, until one day I just laughed it off and changed the subject. They don't do it now as I refuse to get wound up about it. Whilst I like to consider myself a loyal fan of Gareth, as I don't really follow any other artist the same way, I am not silly enough to believe that everything that Gareth says and does is right all the time. He is just the same as the rest of us and doesn't get it right all the time. The difference is when I make ill judged decisions, which I am sure I do all the time, it's not plastered all over the news and nobody would be interested anyway! As I am not going to the pantomime as its too far for me to travel I hadn't realised that Faye Brookes was also in it too. I read an article written recently (since the photos appeared a couple of weeks ago) by an established actress who has been in touring productions too. She puts a very good account of how things are with the touring company whilst out "on the road" caught in their own bubble of lunch at Weatherspoons, etc etc etc and that they become oblivious to everything else outside of this bubble. It might just account for how these things evolve and get a bit out of hand. I have tried to look for the link, but can't seem to find it now and can't even remember the name of the actress either! Anyway, to all those who have tickets for the forthcoming pantomime I do hope it goes well which I am sure it will and you all have a good time. x x
  22. Sophie, Kettle will post on here because there is a small minority of people who like to register on fan sites and try and upset loyal fans. Just ignore them and they will go away.... It is one thing trying to take a balanced view of things and another just making random hurtful comments. At the end of the day his personal life should be just that, but obviously celebrity status doesn't afford that unfortunately - it goes with the job. Gareth knows he has a lot of loyal fans who will support him through thick and thin, hence the announcement on his website before it appearing in the papers. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and a forum is supposed to be a place to express this. I like to read other people's posts which don't necessarily reflect my own views as this gives a better perspective on things. However, I don't feel random comments like Kettle's are helpful in this case - just my view!
  23. I think we could all see this coming if we are being honest. I agree he was very young when he got together with Suzanne and they have done well to have lasted this long. Over the past couple of years I have followed Gareth on twitter and some of his tweets did not really seem consistent with a happily married man in my opinion. Obviously, only they know the truth, but this is just how it seemed to me. I am glad Gareth has made the announcement that their marriage is over now as the press would just continue to follow him constantly looking for other "indiscretions" to expose him, which only serves to cause embarrassment to Suzanne and their respective families and upset to us fans. I do hope that they are allowed to sort everything out amicably and both move on with their lives. It will not be easy for them though as these things are always very stressful and especially with Gareth's busy work schedule at the moment. I think they are lucky to have very supportive families who will help them through all this and I wish them both well for the future.
  24. Thanks Sarah Jane for your report and lovely photos. I agree it was also nice to see Suzanne as I have never seen her on here before. It sounds as though you had a very eventful week while going to see LB!!
  25. Booked Boogie Nights show today in Bradford for next March. Can't believe its for next March and I couldn't book the seats I wanted. I suppose there are several artists in this show with their own fan base.
