  1. Wow flufff - what a fantastic report! So good to read. Lucky you actually being there - I'm sure it would have been very exciting anyway, but with Gaz skating, well - that just turns it into something else altogether.
  2. Yes - although not a real one. I remember them talking about it on PI1. They still have to practise the camera runs and people need to know what to do if it happens to them ...
  3. Apparently he's chatting away to everyone and gave the judge who always cries, a kiss  (way to win points, Gaz  ). New judge says he's extremely likeable. I've always liked her  They have to rehearse an end to the show too so that everyone knows what happens . . . Gaz got through! Hurrah!!! :hyper:
  4. The song was 'Beautiful Day'. *Goes to start making a 'Gaz on DOI playlist'* Link if you want the track:
  5. ... but you KNEW he would be! :wink2: A friend of mine has been lucky enough to get to see this evenings dress rehearsal / technical run-through for Sunday's show. Her text reads as follows: That's it, I'm afraid, but fantastic to know that a) he was ace and that he was on last. That makes him the star :wink2: But we knew that too :hyper:
  6. That was utterly, utterly brilliant. What a joy to see him SO relaxed and confident. I hope he gives heart to other stammerers - it must mean so much to him. I'm more proud of him than I can possibly express. Here's a sound file of Gareth's chat for anyone who wants it GG_Late_Late_Show_October_2007.wma
  7. Sounds as if he did REALLY well. Thanks so much So proud
  8. Oh. My. God. 'Perfect' doesn't come close. Thanks for those Val And Sylvia
  9. Blimey! They're fab! I'm going to bring them over Val - just so I can look any time Thanks for posting about them And thanks to SarahJane and whoeveritwas who found them in the first place. Stunning.
  10. Blimey! Well done! It all sounds like it's going to be a fantastic experience. Hope you have a great time And welcome to the boards - nice of you to drop by and tell us all about it. Do you know who else is going to be on your team?
  11. He's playing on Wednesday the 26th and then after that it depends if Villa go through. I'm thinking he's playing for them because they might be his Dad's team, being a Birmingham club. Wish I could go. And their colours are claret and blue:
  12. The weather was fab, the crowd was happy, the venue was rubbish, but Gareth was absolutely fantastic! :frantics: He put on a great performance - really ripped it up and clearly enjoyed every minute. :hyper: The people presenting the show bigged him up on a regular basis and at one point described him as the headline act for the whole weekend - something I hadn't heard before, but only appropriate, obv   When he finally came on - at the billed time, but it felt like we'd been anticipating his imminent arrival for hours - the crowd went wild. He looked gorgeous, is clearly a favourite and went down a storm. There were people there who weren't familiar with the album so three of the tracks went over their heads, inevitably, but he mixed it up well with the other, better known stuff and that got everyone singing along. On the strength of what she heard of the album, the friend Snowdrop and I dragged along has bought the album today and wants to come to the tour when it happens, so YAY! Fingers crossed that others felt the same way. I have to say, I loved every minute of him being on stage. :frantics: He's such a natural performer and just looks as if he's having a ball the whole time. I just wish you'd could have all been there.
  13. I'll be going! I'll be recording the programme too. Uploading it, however, is another issue. My DVD records in a way which seems to incompatible with most things. However, I'm working on it! One way or another, we'll get it to you, I'm sure!
  14. Gareth says in his blog of 4th July: Repeats showing on: E4 Starting: 06:00 E4 Plus 1 Starting: 07:00 Channel 4 Starting: 08:55

  16. star02 - thanks so much for joining us and sharing your pictures and video - they're great! - and ... welcome!
  17. It sounds as if it was an all round fantastic afternoon footygirl - thanks so much for all your efforts to make it a success. SO pleased you thought so - obviously we're all a bit biased on here and think he just has an amazing voice, full stop. Always great to know that someone who isn't necessarily a fan thinks so too
  18. I keep thinking about this when I listen to the track and, whilst I know what you mean, I've always 'heard' Isley Brothers' Summer Breeze in the background. Love it. (Have I mentioned that?
  19. Thanks for your report Nicky Thrilled you enjoyed it so much And Snowdrop - that vid's fab - thank you SO much!
  20. So pleased it went so well and you had such a good time Khelda Thanks for your report - and to Snowdrop and eternal too - it's lovely to know he's getting such a great reception everywhere.
  21. Great review there Nicky I was thinking of coming back to this thread to post and I'd got as far as thinking I would say, 'God, I love this album!' - and I can't get past that   It's in my head ALL the time; I find myself singing it endlessly and I don't play anything else. I've never had that before - not to the same degree. It's just so good and so enjoyable. There's something so different about each song - they all have something about them that draws me back. When it becomes auditory wallpaper - if I'm driving for example - I'll suddenly tune back in and think, 'Wow, this is good - what is it?' and it's 19 Minutes or maybe Can't Believe It's Over ... or any of the other tracks. There! I managed to get past, 'God, I love this album!'. Just about
  22. Rubbish, wasn't it? An A3 poster behind each till (ie two ... yes two posters in the whole store) - big whoop. I expected them to be talking about it on the video screen in the venue, but nope, nada, nothing, nichts, rien. Hopeless.
