You can't have been far behind us jenjo - VickyGates and I were the first of the last batch to go through (if you see what I mean) - would have loved to have met you Gaz was tremendous this evening. He may have been ill and he said his throat wrecked, but his voice was amazing - he sounded fantastic. He was lovely at the signing too - as always giving the same amount of time and attention to the people at the back of the queue as he did to those at the beginning. Lovely to see so many people there for him - it looked like a small number because of the layout of the venue, but actually there were loads - over a hundred were waiting for over an hour. And LOADS of people there having dinner (it's situated in a mahoosive Food Court - bizarre) who, I'm sure, will have been more than a little impressed by his performance Pete's building up quite a little fanbase all of his own and seemed quite touched by the response he got

Love it. Love it, love it, love it :heart: I agree - same for Changes. Neither of them were what I was looking for from Gareth's comeback music, but in the context of the whole album I think they're fab. Can't pick out a favourite at the moment - probably Lost in You, but as with most of Gaz's music, my favourite tends to be the one I'm listening to at the moment which means that right now it's ... Electric Fab. His voice is just amazing - the tracks are so diverse and he handles them all with ease. Guy's a genius. Oh and Drive is probably one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. I keep having to skip it or I start crying.

Snowdrop's just telephoned to say that he was brilliant! (Not that we expected anything else, obv) I scribbled notes as she was talking and will do my best to decipher them as follows: His performance was in one of the huge tents - good crowd and a great reception There were apparently quite a few fans there and plenty of interest from non-fans He sang an eight-song set: New Kid in Town 19 Minutes (on the piano) Afterglow (on the piano) Lost in You Can't Believe It's Over AOMS POTOS Finishing with a rocky version of SITS which apparently went down really well with everyone singing along It sounds as if it was absolutely amazing - wish I'd been able to go! Huge thanks to Snowdrop for reporting back so quickly

Snowdrop's said all there is to say really - I just wanted to say how thrilled I was to see the 'surprisingly hardcore' fanbase in evidence :wink: There were so many people there who clearly had gone along specifically to see him - I'd say just about everyone there before the event started more or less were there for him - complete with red ribbons, badges, banners, flags and Tshirts. Fab So good to see that he still has so much support on a lousy day and with the potential prospect of him only doing one song ... Brilliant

I thought he was utterly amazing! I had friends round last night - big JR fans who'd forgotten to record it, so were happy to watch it. They didn't recognise Gaz at first and were amazed by his speech, his confidence, his humour and his personality. All stuff WE all know about, but lovely to see two 'strangers' to Gaz being bowled over by him. Couldn't be more proud of him than I was last night - amazing Onwards and upwards now Gaz!

And Roz - thanks so much for typing it all up - it means so much to those who are abroad and won't be able to get their mitts on the mag It's nice for us to have it on here for reference too, so MWAH Loving the interview - seen better pics though (and why only one recent one?), but it's good to have got all that out of the way with heat - hopefully they won't feel the need to go over any of that again when they feature him next time. Which will hopefully be SOON! :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

Totally agree with all that's been said - it's a really nice piece about him. VERY pleased to see an acknowledgement of his "(surprisingly hardcore) fans". So glad they know we're here and rooting for him
