Not sure if this is old news or not...........

There is a songs MY LIFE BREAKING DOWN which Gareth co wrote with Judie Tzuke and Graham Kearns. Maybe this was intended for Gareth's last album?

I think the song has been featured on Judie's myspace page a while back in a demo form and is possibly slated for inclusion in her Songs 3 album currently being recorded. For those interested he co-wrote Dark Days (from her 2007 Songs 2 album) and also Christmas and I'm Home which was performed at the Bradford Christmas lights ceremony back in 2004.

Check out www.tzuke.com for more information.

Thanks for the info Nick.

I did take a look over at Judie's site and it really does contain lots of her music doesn't it (and seems quite busy).

Do you mind me asking what you mean by this please

  • 5 years later...

Despite being written several years ago My Life Breaking Down has finally been issued by Judie Tzuke in the last few of months, in slightly reworked version.

It's already available as a download from here: https://www.hightail.com/download/OGhlRGw4Q1BwM25Sc01UQw and will be released o her forthcoming Song Club album due in June/July from www.tzuke.com as a download or CD/download package.

Here's the lyrics ....

MY LIFE BREAKING DOWN

[Tzuke/ Kearns/ Gates]

Sitting here all alone waiting for my train to come

My phone rests beside me but you don’t call to tell me not to go

I see a couple holding hands laughing and making plans

Maybe a honeymoon or a brief encounter in a hotel room

It’s passing by and I’m trying to figure out where I fit in

And I don’t know why I keep crashing into walls that are paper thin

And I don’t see the ground

And I won’t look up and I can’t look down

Is the world still turning around?

As all I hear spinning in my head is the sound

Of my life breaking down

Its raining, the papers wet

Everyone’s in a hurry to get somewhere

I don’t know where I’m going

Different faith’s different race

We’re all the same just a different face but I’m lonely

This wasn’t how I wanted it to be

It’s passing by and I’m trying to figure out where I fit in

And I don’t know why I keep crashing into walls that are paper thin

And I don’t see the ground

And I won’t look up and I can’t look down

Is the world still turning around?

As all I hear spinning in my head is the sound

Of my life breaking down just the sound of my life breaking down
