We can all learn to dance every morning at 11.00am with Anton Du Beke

See his Instagram too HERE

When interviewing him someone mentioned about his lovely wooden floor etc. He said that if the camera was turned in the opposite direction all his furniture was stacked high at the other end of the room.🤣

It's National Gardening Week. However all the garden centres are closed (just when growing some veg etc would do wonders for mental health at this time).

However there are lots of guidance what can be done RHS Launch National Gardening week

If anyone knows where we can purchase any plants/veg (preferably small independent businesses) please let us know.

This is a small company set up due to the Coronavirus that couldn't bear all the plants to go to waste PLANTLOVE UK.  When they appeared on local news they were appealing for drivers to come and work for them.  From checking last week those drivers must have come forward because they have extended postcodes where they are now delivering to. Well done them.

If you just enter your email address at the bottom of the form they will keep you informed as to what areas they are covering.

Have you read how they started? https://plantloveuk.co.uk/pages/about-us

After being inspired by the efforts of Hope Plants in West Sussex, we approached a local wholesale plant nursery in Bransford about rescuing their acres of plants once destined for now closed garden centres all over the UK.  We wanted to help find a way to brighten not only the gardens of Britain’s homes, but the lives of keen gardeners throughout Worcester and beyond.

We have the next 6-12 weeks to find loving gardeners for the wholesaler’s tens of thousands of blooming plants that will otherwise be facing the compost heap, whilst at the same time supporting the plant nursery industry to sustain itself through these very desperate times. Meanwhile, we have a nation of gardeners longing to get outside and do what they love best - gardening! Our mission is to provide a supportive link between the two.

We also want to do our part in reviving the great British spirit so prevalent during WWII and, in the loosely termed words of Winston Churchill, rally the call to arms “we will never surrender to this virus”! Staying home is the new going out, and #getBritaingardening is the new Digging for Victory.

We initially offered a local home delivery service to Worcester residents in postcodes but have been extending our delivery area as we have been finding our feet.

Additionally, we are proud to now be offering shrubs, climber and woody plant collections from John Richards Nurseries Ltd. at Mathon.  John Richards Nurseries Ltd. will be utilising their existing resources by delivering their own stock with their own vehicles and drivers.

We are a family-based team who have all become jobless due to the current situation. We are using our diverse skills in a new way to offer this service to those who know the value that a beautiful, blooming garden can bring.

Let’s get Britain gardening again!

Brigette, Vanessa & Ranulf x

They just deserve so much support.
