  1. Lovely to catch up with all this news on the cruise.  Thanks to Doris for reports too, it must be lovely to see Gareth around and about on deck etc. What a time for Gareth to get any illness when he has to perform.  I've two friends now who have seen him on Britannia in the last year and both said how good he was and how much they enjoyed seeing him. Neither are massive fans of Gareth, but both were impressed with his performances and had their photo taken with him.

  2. Very sad to hear this news today.  Although I never actually met her personally, I used to love her detailed reports of her encounters with Gareth.  She was a very committed fan of Gareth and his family over the years since Pop Idol days and always used to contact the media in support of him. I also offer my condolences to her family and friends too.

  3. I don't look at Instagram or Twitter much, but if there's one thing I can't stand is people trying to send cryptic messages to people through quotes etc.  Their relationship isn't our business and I suppose there will be faults on both sides, but really this should all be in private between them. I didn't know Fates had been taken over either, but I'm not really that surprised as Gareth is abroad much of the time and Faye is looking to get back into musicals again from what I've read. As Gazfan said, it's becoming tiresome now and I hope they don't get back together again and move on.

  4. Once again a lovely detailed report and you make us feel like we were there!!  Glad you mentioned about the musical theatre and UK gigs to him too. I certainly don't blame you for refusing to accept the original table they gave you in the Limelight club. I would have been so upset to have received a table behind a post!!  I've a few friends now who have seen Gareth on the Britannia cruise in the Caribbean.  None of them were particularly Gareth fans, but all of them said how well he did and how the shows were very good and enjoyable. I would imagine its nice for Gareth to recognise fans and have a little chat with you too.

  5. I suppose Gareth is trying to appeal to a wider younger audience with these venues, but they aren't our scene. I wouldn't be able to get my husband to go even if I wanted to! Footloose was the last time I saw him in Bridlington and that seems ages ago now. I do hope he hasn't given up on the musicals as that's my favourite.

  6. Thanks Maria for posting your lovely reports of the shows. Your photos are fabulous and it's nice that you were able to take advantage of Gareth being in your home town. Sounds as though this panto has been a huge success which is wonderful. 🙂
