  1. Well I've really enjoyed reading all the reports. Sounds as though it was a fabulous night. How do you all think the concert compared with Momentous Musicals. I really enjoyed that evening in Bradford in the summer and would have liked to have seen this concert too if it hadn't been on a Sunday. Gareth is extremely busy at the moment and it must be very difficult for him to fit everything in.

  2. These reports all sound fantastic. We were very near to Buxton on Sunday night as we were at a wedding, but unfortunately we had to return home on Monday morning as my husband had to go to work! I told my husband that we could have seen Gareth on Monday night at Buxton if he hadn't had to go to work and he just rolled his eyes!!! The weather had been terrible during the weekend and I thought the event might have been cancelled. So nice to have read the reports. Haven't seen the videos or any photos yet.

  3. What's happened to Gareth's hair now? I thought he had changed it for the better and now its back to that style again. I read on Twitter a little while ago he said he had been for a short back and sides and a perm on top. I thought he was joking, but obviously not! What these photos are about I don't know. My best bet its for the up and coming album. We'll just have to wait and see!! I am so looking forward though to whatever is in the pipeline for us.

  4. Agree with you Khelda. I think he needs a really catchy song to get the attention of none fans this time. I have listened to the six songs loads of times now and think Free is the only one I can actually remember and even then I'm not sure I like it. Just my personal opinion, but I think most of the songs are a bit the same and the lyrics are a bit repetitive throughout each song. Does anyone else think this or is it just me? I'm just hoping he has something else up his sleeve that we haven't heard yet. I did wonder though if I might like them more with a backing track instead of acoustic. I have loved all his albums thus far and have them on in the car all the time.

  5. I have also listened to them a few times now and think that Free is my favourite of the three. Not sure if this is because its the most poignant or whether I actually do like it!! I have to say that I thought they all sounded very alike and a bit like Changes and AOMS. I have to be honest, I was hoping for something a bit more memorable and upbeat with a catchy chorus this time round. I think people are enjoying Gareth's gigs now because he is singing a lot of the well known songs that everyone knows and can sing along to. I just can't imagine singing along to any of the three we've heard up to now. This is just my view and I know many of you seem to like the new material. I suppose its a start though and it's the first new music we've had in a while so we shall have to wait and see what else there is before making any judgement.

  6. Ooh, I have to apologise if I was annoying. I was noisy and blame the wine!! My husband was sat beside that pillar!! Annoyingly, I could have picked any seats as I booked as soon as you could almost! The clip of the Academy is awful actually as we were quite far back. I have watched the clips today and none of them are any good. The one with Gareth singing puppy love is jumpy and has my husband singing at the top of his voice which completely drowns Gareth's voice out!! We had a good laugh about it today.

  7. That's hilarious about Merrill. You wouldn't think that would happen on such an organised tour. I wonder which hotel they stayed in.

I have had a chance to look at the little videos my husband took from last night. None of them were any good as we were too far away, but he got a clip of the kids from the Academy right at the end when they had finished singing with Gareth. I will try and post it tomorrow. It shows Gareth directing the kids off the stage!

So glad the concert in Bradford wasn't on the Saturday as we would definitely have not been able to go due to the weather. That would have been such a shame as I have been looking forward to going for months.

Yes, Heather, you must have been in the same area of the theatre. We were in seats 40 and 41 on second row from front in dress circle.

I too think The Osmonds like Gareth. I remember seeing something on TV way back when Gareth was on a programme where Donny Osmond was on too. It could have been Loose Women or GMTV or something like that and I think Donny was impressed with Gareth's determination to not let his speech problem interfere with his career.

  8. Well it was touch and go as to whether we were going to venture up to Bradford. The snow never let up all day and my husband said he thought it was a bit risky in case we didn't make it back to see to our dog!! Anyway, once I told him the price of the tickets, he said "we'll go"!

The show was just what I expected and was fantastic. I had had a couple of glasses of wine so let my hair down! My husband said he had never seen me like this before! He tried filming some of the show, but our camera is a bit old and I am not expecting them to have turned out very well. I was a little bit disappointed at the seats in the dress circle and wish I had booked the front of stalls. I deliberately booked dress circle thinking it would be a good view but I would have liked to have been closer. The atmosphere, just like all the other venues, was brilliant with most people entering into the spirit of things. We were also near the people dressed in 70s clothes which I thought was a nice touch.

I couldn't fault any of the performances myself and thoroughly enjoyed everything. I thought the story was a bit thin though. I wasn't a fan of The Osmonds before seeing them, but have to agree with others they are very professional and relaxed and its not difficult to see why they have such a huge following.

It was lovely to see the children on stage with Gareth. He was organising them a bit too. If I had had a child on that stage last night I would have cried buckets! I bet they really enjoyed performing in front of such a large lively crowd.

I think some people didn't risk travelling because of the weather as there were a couple of empty seats near me which I tried to book but were not available at the time of booking.

The only problem for me is that the show was over all too soon!
