  1. Beautiful pics of a beautiful man, Val! Thanks
  2. Thanks very much for telling me that. I really want to come but I am working until 6, so I'm not sure i can make it to London by 7-15. Don't want to be left outside!
  3. Thank you so much, Maggiemags! Is it during the day or the evening?
  4. How can we find out when Gareth is playing? I haven't got Sky, but would love to go to the match.
  5. I hope that anyone who goes has a wonderful time, just like i did at Manchester.
  6. Glad you liked them . I'm stil learning to post pics up, keep trying hard, and you can see in my nervous anticipation I also managed to quote my own posts. If it wasn't for gareth, i wouldn't even attempt to do these things!
  7. Sorry ladies, I'm trying hard but I think I've duplicated some of them! Yes Val, I was only one row from the front. Enjoy!
  8. Your videos won't play for me unfortunately Snowdrop. It says they are no longer available, but thanks anyway for making the effort to do them. It was a good thing I was there, to see it first hand. I must admit I never saw you.
  9. Hi June, Thanks for the lovely pics. I have some too, and hope to get them up later. It was great to meet you at last. Didn't we have a laugh when you thought that awful drunk man was Keith? Elaine and I forgot our room numbers, so after we had seen Emma onto her coach, Keith had to come down and find us. We had a great laugh, but the highlight of it all has to be Gareth's amazing performance. I was absolutely spellbound, he just gets better and better! Wasn't it lovely to see so many people, just like old times. The only sad thing is because those young fans were so noisy and rough ( not from the boards I might add) we couldn't get beyond that fence. One girl climbed up the fence, did you see her, absolutely manic!
  10. Hi June, Thanks for the lovely pics. I've got some too, and will try to get them on later. It was lovely meeting you too. Didn't we have a laugh when you thought that awful drunk man was Keith? love Carol xx
  11. This I think is one of Gareth's most beautiful songs of all time. Thank you so much!
  12. Thank you so much Footygirl. It was a wonderful turnout, and I'm so glad that 200 albums were sold.
  13. Yes, the security lady told us 450, the most amount of all the signings!
  14. I'm so glad you explained about those girls. Thanks very much Heather. Yes, I have spotted my self in the pic. I have a blue coat over my arm, and Elaine is busy chatting to the man next to us.
  15. I will try to make this post a bit different from the others you have already read. I left home at 7am yesterday, picking up Amy and Elaine on the way, and drove through torrential rain to Bristol. We played POTOS all the way, detremined not to let the rain get us down. We arrived at midday, and waited at the staff entrance until Gareth arrived about 3-30 I think, where we met other Gareth fans, including a lday from Swansea. We also chatted to the security men, who spoke highly of Gareth as one the nicest stars to work with. We asked if ther could be photos today, and Bob said Maybe. When Gareth arrived, we waved and cheered, and he said " HI guys" and we asked about his throat, and he said it was rubbish. When we went round to watch him perform we were amazed at the amount of people. Later Asda security lady told us that it was doulbe the amount they had been expecting, she reckoned about 450 people. Gareth was great although a trifle husky when he spoke. We had been told there would only be 3 songs, but the crowd gave him such a rapturous reception, and someone called out Spirit in the Sky, so he said " Ok, because you're the best audience", so he sang it, and then got us to sing too, just like he had at Hyde Park. The atmosphere was wonderful, girls screaming I love you ( not me, honest!) cheers for him every time he went over the bridge before he performed, and someone fainted. It was hot, and so many people pressed together, no wonder! We queued for the signing, and Gareth had his pic taken with everyone. When he put his arm round me I noticed how tired his eyes were, but he masked it with that beautiful smile. We bought him a birthday card as the Asda security lady, who was obviously a Gareth fan was enthusing to us how great it had gone, it had been good for Asda too, loads of albums sold, and twice as many people as they had expected to come. She said we could take the card quickly up to Gareth, but sadly by the time we had chosen and written it he had finished, and we just managed to give it to him in passing. He thanked us, that lovely smile again that makes your day, and then we went outside with all the others to say good bye to him. The only sad note I must add is that there was a small group of nasty little 13 year old girls outside who boohed him, and screamed nasty comments. I'm not sure Gareth heard because he was in the van, i was very angry, and said loudly. " I wish they would go away." In conclusion I must say that having been lucky enought to see Gareth perform live 3 times lately, it seems to me that to keep this album going he must do a tour. It doesn't matter how small the venue because on stage he becomes alive, and wins people over, non fans I mean. It's what he does best, and I hope 19 realise that Gareth can sell himself if given the chance. I do hope that now the single and album are out that he doesn't disappear into the mist for another 3 months or so. Incidentally, i got lost driving home, some 250 miles each way, and I eventually arrived home at 2am, but do you know, for Gareth I would willingly do it all again!
  16. Thank you for the lovely report. Sounds like you all had a great time.
  17. Have just listened to Gareth's album, and I was totally mesmerised by it. He has put so much effort and work into it, his voice is wonderful, and the songs are ace and diverse. The only one that didn't hit me straight away is Afterglow, but I think, like Changes, it will be a grower. I think my favourite at the moment is 19 minutes, but really it's so hard to choose. They are all great songs, the rocky ones are so catchy, and Can't believe it's over is also very good. This album is excellent, and if it doesn't do well, then there is no justice in the music world these days!
  18. How wonderful that Ann met Gareth today. I can perfectly well understand that she was overcome, it happened to me too the first time!
  19. Hope to see you Khelda and Val.
