  1. Yes I have it. I think that Gareth should write his own story, because after all, the struggle he has overcome to speak is a real inspiration to others. With all due respect to Paul Potts, who is having a book about him because he won Britain's got Talent, I think a story about Gareth would be far more uplifting. Paul was a mobile 'phone salesman, so what! Gareth deserves to go down in history as the boy who risked being ridiculed, and was so brave enough to go on National Television every week to realise his dream. That is what being a hero is all about! ps. I hope I haven't offended any of Paul's fans. I know he has a lovely voice, but I feel Gareth is far more inspirational, so inspirational, that I have been tempted many times, to write about him myself.
  2. Thank you Eternal, that is a very good and true article. I would like some of these cynical reporters to write about Gareth in that way, but unfortunately these 3 girls had to abandon their music careers to obtain recognition.
  3. Thanks for that. Great that Gareth got to perform!
  4. If Gareth had been in the final, it could well have been him and Chris in the last two, as he had more public support than Suzanne. He would have been more graceful than Chris, I'm sure. Suzanne was a very worthy winner, there is no doubt that she was the best skater on the night that counted, forget the other nights. She peaked at the right time. The bookies must have lost a lot of money.
  5. I wish I could agree with that, but like they said on Radio2, it feels like Gareth was robbed, and I hate injustice! Naturally I am proud of him, who wouldn't be? He is a star in every way, and a very gracious loser!
  6. I'm gutted to see him go, but for me Gareth is always a star! I really think if he'd made it through tonight, he could have danced the Bolero beautifully, and he would have looked good on the wire. However, it wasn't to be. In my eyes, he is a wineer because he made such progress, and it's another string to add to his very talented bow. Well done Gaz! xxxxx
  7. I also found it difficult on Sunday. I went to my daughter's for dinner, and they invited me to watch there, but are avid Chris Fountain fans. I would have preferrd to watch it at home, because after I then had to dash home quickly for the results as I had things to do in the evening.
  8. Well I agree with all of you. Gareth was a star in every way. To perform like that, with such confidence after missing rehearsals is fantastic. It seems like he is peaking at just the right time, so I now think he has as much chance as anyone else to win it. When you think of all the years of skating that Chris had, and gareth after a few weeks is only 1and a half points behind him. As the judges said, it shows just how far he's come. What a lovely Mother's Day present for Wendy to see him get his highest score, and go through to the semis. Go Gaz!
  9. Sorry to hear about Suzanne. Hope she will be ok to skate.
  10. It wasn't that bad you know. He was hesitant, but he didn't stammer. It will make people realise just how hard he has to work each day with his exercises to achieve fluent speech, and it endears him to me even more for his guts in taking on something as time consuming as DOI.
  11. Thanks for the pic and report nat. If you're going next week, can you make sure that your group scream really loudly for Gareth. I tried to get tickets, but no good!
  12. Gareth and Maria were amazing, so graceful and great steps together. I love him in white, and thouight they both looked amazing! I, too, am worried as he was waiting to see if he was in, that he might be in the skate-off with Zarrah next week. This is all so stressful!
  13. I'm away until Sunday, but will record it. I wonder if they will do another poll to see who the viewers want to win.
  14. I thought Gareth and Maria were amazing tonight, a true partnership, and lots of skating steps. They were Dancing on Ice, unlike Suzanne and Chris who seem only to be interested in outdoing each other with very " Cool Moves"? Gareth is the one to watch because although he may not be the best skater he is actually DANCING ON ICE, which is what is supposed to happen. He was definitely the best performer, even though he didn't get the highest marks. I felt sorry for Zarrah being in the skate-off, but maybe people vote for their favourite, rather than the best performer, and i don't think she is that well known.
  15. I love Jason's comments about Gareth Great!
  16. Gareth and Maria did great tonight. He is consistently good, even after the terrible week he has had. I think that Gareth has as much chance as anyone else to make the final, as his support seems to be growing every week. If they give him a slow emotional and romantic routine next week, he could blow us and the judges away. Gareth has something that none of the others have, the whole package, because it isn't just about the skating, it's about charisma and likeability too!
  17. I hope Gareth has an emotional and romantic song next week, because with the wonderful partnership he shares with Maria, it could be most moving to see. Just my opinion folks.
  18. I see, couldn't help wondering why. Even Jeremy Clarkson was jumping on the band wagon in the Sun today when he said that people we've never heard of, these so called celebrities, are skimming round the ice, and he only mentioned it because he wanted to talk about Holly's cleavage! He has lots of people on his show that the public have never heard of.
  19. He's through, my heart will stop pounding now, the agony and the ecstasy is too much! :frantics: He is doing great, and steadily improving. Good on you Gaz!
  20. Gareth did great, a very polished and professional looking performance tonight. I loved the outfit, and i thought the hair style, although old fashioned, and right for the time, only made him look more handsome. I think they deserved one or two fives in there, but nevertheless, a great score.
  21. Yes,Ii don't think he realises just how good he is already!
  22. It's unfortunate that a couple of journalists have been extremely rude about the show and all the competitors including Philip and Holly. Don't know why they should be so insulting and bitter.
  23. What lovely pics, and they both look so great together!
  24. I think Gareth was marvellous. It was a very hard routine, no wonder he was concentrating. He always looks fantastic whatever he wears to me. I didn't like the song, but now I'm nervously waiting for the results show. There were others nowhere near as good as Gareth. Suzanne did very well in spite of her stumble, and I thought the Corrie newcomer was very good too.
